I thought it would be a good idea if we could create a list of things to do, think, watch, etc. that results in either a mood shift or raising the current mood. I believe having such a list would be so beneficial to have, as soon as someone realizes they are not feeling what they would like, they could apply something from the list and shift the mood. Being a person of passion towards personal development and growth, I have read hundreds and hundreds of books, ideas, and exercises. It seems at times we need these things the most they slip the mind. A quick list to refer to would be awesome. Love and Light, Tiffany |

I actually did this the other day. That is forced myself to lift my mood (because let's face it, when it's down it almost feels good to dwell on it...silly I know). So my list includes: - watching The Secret web site clips (gifts for you section) - just "you tube" a puppy video (preferably Labradors) - my favourite music - my favourite comedy (sit com) - go for a walk if I can - read a bit "The Power of Intention" (I just open the book wherever and read whatever comes up and I usually open in a page that's relevant to the situation) I think that's it. I look forward to more lists and get ideas from others. |

I always have strongly believed in exercise. I do believe a good run/workout can lift any mood. Also I just say the word "Miracle" (thanks Magic1) and it just instantly makes me feel better. Even if its to myself. Sitting up, taking a deep breath and putting a smile on my face is an instant mood lifter as well. |

A bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos. I'm kinda just kidding (though they are damn good, with all that delicious MSG :-) ). Anything spicy will do -- that really gets the endorphins going. Also, caffeine makes me feel high as a kite, almost like I'm in love (because I'm so sensitive to it, which is why it upset my stomach so |

-Smile and physically make yourself laugh. -Talk to newer little people (5 years and younger?) about the important things in life, like ewoks and polar bears. -Pet something (animal, person, your own arm.) -Make a little drawing for a loved one or right them a note. -Text someone something positive. -Close my eyes and imagine good feelings are something I can visualize overtaking my body and extending beyond it (light, warmth, etc.) Most of the time now if my mood is not great it just means I need a good rest, heh. |

here's how I was taught to do this: get under the cold water for 30 seconds or a minute or so letting it hit all parts of the body except head/ hair area and the front of the thighs. Jump out, rub body vigorously so that your body sends resources to warm you back up, then repeat going back under the cold water 1 or 2 more times. When you're done rub body vigorously to help it warm up with hands and/ or towel and you should find that your body feels really warm and that you feel totally energized and in a totally different emotional state too | |
