Default Going Insane!!!

I have this moments of episodes similar to tourette's syndrome and tics where if a bad memory pops up in my head such as something I am embarrassed or ashamed. Sometimes my body goes spastic or I shout out something completely random like my name or my pet's name for some reason. This only has happened recently, how the hell do I deal with this?

A tic is a brain anomaly. The thing to do is to see a doctor, either a neurologist or a psychiatrist. It is not a mental illness but a tic but psychiatrists are able to prescribe medications that will relieve the brain activity that causes those reactions.

I have always twitched (Especially face/neck) when I'm triggered and a bad memory comes up... I had no idea it happens to other people!! Thank you for putting yourself out there ProjectX!

I disagree with that. Medications should really be a last resort for such a small problem.

This problem is beatable, ProjectX. I've had similar experiences in the past, although I don't remember shouting out my pet's name.

You mentioned that you have memories that make you feel ashamed. The first step is to acknowledge that shame. Don't try to fight it. Quite the opposite, immerse yourself in it and accept it. Then try to generate some positive feelings, and look outside the shame so that you can see the situation clearly; so that you can see exactly which thoughts trigger these emotions. Don't try to fight the thoughts either. Just acknowledge that they're there. Only then can you start to gain some clarity.
