Default Visualization in the present moment

I read an article from steve stating that we shouldnt visualize something we'd like in the future but visualize that desire as though we have it at the moment, present moment. I dont understand how to go about this. How do we visualize something like having that girl you like... in the present moment?

From http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/200...ling-blessed/:

Quote:
Initially I found it very difficult to get myself to imagine having what I wanted in the present moment. My logical mind rejected the notion because it was clear that I wasn’t anywhere close to having what I wanted. But I found a nice little trick that helped a lot. I imagined that I’d shifted to an alternate reality where there was another me who was experiencing exactly what I wanted right now. I just had to tune my thoughts to the right frequency to feel what he was feeling. My logical mind was okay with that; it’s funny that it could accept the idea of alternate dimensions, even though it couldn’t quite accept the idea of having what I wanted right this instant.

thx lauxa for that quote...

so let's say i'm sitting in front of the computer typing this message which is the present moment. I desire this girl. So according to steve, if I wanted to visualize in the moment I'd have to visual myself in an alternate reality sitting in front of the computer with thoughts of 'already in a relationship with this girl and being happy with her'. Is this what he means by present moment visualization? Instead of thinking about possible scenerios I could have with this girl, I visualize the situation im presently in (which is sitting in front of the computer) and then have that 'alternate me' know in his head the fact im in a relationship with the girl i desire.

This article is about building up positive feelings until you are inspired to take action. It talks about taking time to sit still and do visualizations, so you can put yourself and the girl in any scenario you would like.

but steve mentions that visualization should be in the present. I dont quite understand how to visualize in the present. I usually visualize scenerios in the distant future such as being outside at a park with this girl and talking while in reality im sitting in front of a computer with my eyes closed visualizing that scenerio.
