Angry What a way to start the New Year!

Today one of my siblings ticked me off
And it really does take a lot to do this to me, in general I'm usually the one that helps everyone around me be in a better place.
I'm finding it difficult to snap out of it.

I remember one of the ariticles I read from either Steve's or Erin's blog's (I believe it was Erin's but I can't find it) It was about a exercise that was done at one of the seminars they attended - it had to do with sending love out to others.

So without going into all the details about what happened today - it is my wish for everyone who reads this to pray or meditate for a few moments and send all the love you can muster to myself and my husband Pete(this involves him too). Think of it as an experiment if you must and I will post here again at the end of the day to let you all know how it worked.

Thanks in advance
Khristine (and Pete) in Minnesota

Post Thank you

Well I know I was going to let you all know how everything worked out by then end of the day yesterday- but couldn't get back to the computer. So here is the update.

First of all let me say that my husband had no idea that I posted this. He however was the first to hear the negitive info yesterday, and being his wife I could tell that he was really bothered by it - and not willing to talk about it.

After I posted this he took a nap. It was amazing the transformation that took place. He woke up with a huge smile on his face and stayed that way the whole day- he even handled little irritating things very well.

I on the other hand, started to read a couple of other posts here in this forum which also helped. But I was not in any mood to stay online. So I started to do short meditations imaging myself standing with arms wide open taking in the love of the universe, it was a beautiful warm breeze. My spirit lifted and was reminded that I can choose to be angry or not. One question that came to my mind was "Do you want to be angry?" and of coarse the answer was no. My mood changed dramatically.

So to all of you who sent us your loving thoughts (and to you Hazel for your love and posting here) - Thank you all so very much. Love not only heals..... it guides us to a better place.

That's wonderful Khristine.

Another thing I do when I'm feeling ticked off by something is immediately ask myself, "Would you rather be running for your life from an axe murderer or have this little problem you do now?" I know it's morbid but it really snaps me into the right perspective.

Whenever you're feeling one of those negative emotions just think of all the people in the world at that moment who are being abused, raped, or murdered and how they would gladly trade places with you in an instant. You begin to appreciate all you have going for you.

Talking

Thanks Erin,
I see what you mean about putting things into perspective, a lot of times we are so focused on our own little world that we forget that there are those who would love to trade places with us.

P.S. Good China...not necessary...but I always knock and wait for the door to open
