Default How best to respond?

OK this may seem trivial but what the hell!

Last year me and my brother bought a PS3, recently I decided I didn't really want to play it any more and my brother agreed to buy it off me, he paid me £135, the £15 extra I should of got was my small percentage so I could still watch my Blu-Ray movies.

Well today my brother was out, the TV listing wasn't looking so hot, so I decided to play Call Of Duty 4, I plug it, turn it on, and wouldn't you know it, my brother has deleted my account. With it has gone hours, over a years worth, of playing to get rank, merit, and just for personal reward.

Gone.

I was furious. I nearly deleted his account. But I didn't. is it fair of me to ask for some sort of compensation in this situation?

Default You're kidding, right?

I could list so many things more substantial than this that you should be considering...let it go.

A few episodes of Spongebob should help you recover from this devastating setback.

You had me at "OK this may seem trivial..."

Well, to be fair, it's technically his now, so he's free to do whatever he likes with it. In any case, PS3 rank and merit, like 360 achievements, just isn't worth it in the long run. Letting it go is the best thing to do here.

I totally agree, I mean unless you told him & made clear to him that your account & saved up stuff ARE NOT to be messed with. I see, it's totally his right & option to do whatsoever he likes...

Good Luck, & let us know what happens next ..

It wasn't really what he did, its the principle behind it that annoyed me.

Ah well...

I don't really care anymore haha. I was just angry at the time.

I think he did a great job, because now you won't try to re-do all that thing, and instead you're gonna buy CALL OF DUTY 5!

Hi Xanafax,

Considering that your brother actually paid you for your ps, how did you expect your account to be still active? What if you had managed to sell it to a stranger - you wouldn't even know that your account had been deleted.

Anger is such a negative emotion - thankfully you did not give in to your first impulse to delete his account. Where is the question of compensation from your brother. And, by the way, were you 'allowed' to use the ps in his absence. Think about it.

You told him you don't want to play anymore and even took money from him. Of course he deleted your account, what did you expect? It's just the locical consequence of the actions you took.

Something like this happened to me when I was younger. I ended up deleting my older brothers account because I got mad at him and I felt so bad that I spent the entire day trying to get all of his stuff back for that game.

You deleted the meaningless trivial e-achievements I sold to you!! DIE BROTHER!

Consider him having done you a favor and do something more interesting with your free time.

I'm confused. You bought it together, and you told him you didn't want to play it anymore. But then you expected to continue sharing it with him. Then what exactly was he supposed to be paying you for?

Hahahaha, glad you got over it. Reminds me of the time I cried because there was no sour cream for my baked potato. Amazing how we can get swept up by emotions. Hopefully you will remember this next time you get angry.

haha! This IS funny! I once wanted to put a major guilt trip on my boyfriend because he ate all the Cheez-its. Then I got over it. Choose your battles.
