Default How to Laugh more

Hi there I hardly laugh at all. I smile a lot but I rarely laugh heartily. I fake it so people might not think this about me but i rarely find things funny and haven't had a fit of the giggles for years. ive been through a hugely difficult 5 or 6 years and feel like now although I've gotten my life back on track in the last year or two I have never gotten my ability to laugh back. I notice this coz my mom and two sisters seem to laugh heartily and easily while i just sit there pretending to find it funny. Sometimes I wonder is it because i have been through such hard times that my soul is worn out and weighed down with the hard times ive been through. Also Ive seen a horrible side to people and sometimes feel very negative about people in general. This is just a general feeling of bewilderment at why some people can be so nasty and hurtful towards other people. I thought I had gotten over it and dealt with the bad times but do you think the weight of this is making me serious?

I think you could lighten up and have some more fun. What the heck do you do for fun? Tell me at least 5 things you do for fun.

Start there, with something fun. I realize your intentions are good, but you seem so frickin serious! Life is a game, have fun - GO PLAY!

well I like to go out and have a few drinks and get up dancing but I have been really lethergic and lazy lately. So 5 things I like to do

I go to a class once a week
I play with my cats
I try and joke with my work mates
I listen to comedy sketch on the radio in the morning
I watch south park and the simpson

dont get me wrong it's not that I have never had a laugh or dont know how to it's just I haven't laughed heartily in years. I haven't had a severe fit of the giggles where your sides are hurting from laughing in a very long time. What makes it worse is that my mother and 2 sisters laugh all the time at the drop of a hat

For me, if I just start laughing it feels great! I just smile and let the good feeling flow through me. I don't think too much about it.

Default Friends?

Do you spend much time with friends? I find being in the company of friends always makes me laugh harder - sometimes almost uncontrollably . You said you like to watch comedy sketches? If you are watching them alone I suggest you try watching them with a friend or two and I think you'll find that their laughter will become infectious.
