| I want to start blogging. Have actually tried before but gave up. Reason: I'm a little shy. I started to become uncomfortable sharing parts of my live with everyone to see. (Even though I knew not many were visiting my blog anyway; but still, I knew it was accessible to the whole world.) Note: I'm not trying to blog to make money. Just blog for the fun of it. Any shy (or previously shy) people out there who started blogging? Why did you start to blog? Did you have similar feelings to mine? How did you react? In your opinion, should I start? |

| Hey Dedekind You're brave enough to post on the forum, you can blog! If you're anxious about letting too much of yourself out, don't be overly personal. Find a subject you really enjoy or a hobby and blog about that. You'll find that your personality shines through and you will make blog friends who write about similar subjects. You're in control, you can choose what you decide to write about. Have fun experimenting! If you need some inspiration, go see Havi's Blog Therapy posts. |

| Hey I definitely agree with the above advice. I am still shy - actually sometimes utterly terrified! I can't believe that I have actually started blogging. For me, it was necessary to look at why I am shy or nervous to post and to understand that. Work with my limiting beliefs around writing. So I've had lots of different affirmations going. The thing is that I figured that I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I read on Tina Su's site about what she does when she is lacking confidence (in any area) and one of them is: Take Massive Action! So, for me, if I'm feeling exceptionally nervous about it, I write a post. That is MASSIVE. Juliet
