In my designing of, and working towards a better life I have setup a "dream board" with visual symbols of the key things I want to achieve etc..... The problem I am having is that I am not that motivated by material things. A BMW or a big house is not going to motivate me towards my goals. Really a pile of money in the back is not motivating to me either. I feel like Alot of the ideas I want to have are abstract. A few prime motivators for me are: Freedom of location, aka my business run completely by a wireless laptop. Freeing me to move and live anywhere I please. Meeting New people and Sharing Ideas: When I travel I feel my best when I meet new people and learn different points of view Achieving a 100% raw diet. Basically my question is this: How do you visualize your abstract goals? I guess I feel like if I can visualize my goals it will help me set a better heading towards them. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Here's a thought based on your post: put some of these things on your board - picture of raw food - lots of pictures of raw food; your laptop, photos of people working on laptops in variety of situations or types of places; photos that evoke the concept of working and travel - ones that you connect with. What other abstract concepts do you want there? Here are a couple of image ideas (Wish I knew how to paste them in here.) yummy raw foods: Google Image Result for http://www.welikeitraw.com/photos/uncategorized/rawfoodrightnowthanksgiving.jpg laptop work on footbridge: http://images.inmagine.com/168nwm/go...4/gs174030.jpg Oh - I forgot to say - I am very impressed with your concepts - what a great life you are planning. Sounds great. I suspect you will get there for sure. I'm going to borrow from your board. |

Hi Liveformx64 You're absolutely spot on to look for images that you have emotional attachments to. That's the real power behind visualization. There must be images of some sort though that have emotional connotations for you. Perhaps even things from your childhood when you felt free and inspired? Your images for your vision board don't have to visually represent the things you want (i.e. a fancy car, a big house), they must emotionally represent the feelings you want to feel (a childhood emotion, an emotional movie scene, an image that represents for you the feelings you want to feel). Cheers Paul |
