What Scares You?

They say that if you know your fears you'll probably have the chance to cure it or overcome it sometime. So please post what things that makes you scared.

Me, I'm afraid that I go really old but too sick and become burden so better I rather die young but contented.

Ghosts
People who have bad tempers/are violent
Small spaces
Spiders and bugs that fly and make buzzing noise (If if gets near my ear, usually I flail like a crazy person lol)
Finding out someone I care about has been dishonest or has betrayed me
Getting ditched by people I care about for no apparent reason
Heights (sort of)

My biggest fear is fear itself...that I don't know when I'm acting out of fear or whether sometimes my fears are justified. Is there any justified fear...ie are there things that we should be afraid of?

Fear: False Evidence Appearing Real.
I fear losing people in my life that are important to me. That said though They are always with you if you hold them in your heart. Not only that but they are with you all the time if you are grateful for any time you have spent with them. I once had a woman who I really had a deep connection with say to me .. Think of me and I will be there.. I took her advice and still do and it is true. Thanks G

My biggest fear is rejection (abandonment, isolation, friendlessness, condemnation, judgment, betrayal, belittling)

and failure (business/career, social, financial).

Before violent people I turn green, like Hulk, and instead of running I fight.
I have faced that in the past. Violent people want you to fear. I never give them that pleasure.

I am a spitfire dragon when upset. People see me calm, and they think they can abuse of me. Only about 4 people in my whole life have met that spitfire dragon (my dark side, which is really, really dark).

Hmm..I need to try to thing of some. I'm not really afraid of any tangible things like heights or spiders or whatever. I love both those things!

I fear being misunderstood. I hate misunderstanding and the conflict it brings so I always try to elaborate and make sure someone understands what I mean and not get the wrong idea.

I fear forgetting things. I fear that I will forget important dates, events, memories and such and it is gone forever.

I fear that sometimes I unknowingly hurt people's feelings or make them feel uncomfortable or weird.

I really fear the people I love dying. More than my own death! Ahh...even thinking about it scares me, I've never had to deal with anything like that before so I can only imagine how painful and tormenting it must be. I'm really afraid that they'll die not knowing how much I love them. Just writing this is making me scared and wanting to tell everyone I love how much I love them right now! Haha

My biggest fear is not reaching my full potential and my dreams before I die.

It is a good fear because it keeps me motivated to work with all of my heart and passion every day towards my goals and dreams.

I am afraid that the trade I'm about to take (I'm a full time trader) won't work, and it will be the beginning of a negative spiral that will eventually bankrupt me, and force me out of the business and back to a wage slave job.

I'm afraid of dying in a violent accident, be it a car wreck or worse a plane crash. The idea terrifies me, particularly the idea of falling out of the sky in an aircraft, feeling the plane lose altitude and knowing that you're going to die without the chance of making peace before you go. Anyone else out there like this?

Hmm, I used to be afraid of lots of things but at this point I wouldn't really say I have any fears. Maybe of something like being burried alive but even then I know I'd be okay...you know, maybe not my physical body, but whatever.

Sometimes I think I'm afraid of being abandoned or betrayed, but then I realize it's not possible.

I would have to think really hard to think of something that genuinely "scares" me... and I don't want to spend that much time focusing on fear, because it makes me start envisioning frightening situations, instead of positive outcomes.

Well, I'm not sure how I can clarify it because it's taken me a lot of meandering to get to that point. Basically I believe that I am safe, secure, loved and protected regardless of what the circumstances of my life may be. What I may have formerly considered a betrayal is now an opportunity to lean into life more and become more connected and aware. The terms betrayal and abandonment imply something awful, but there is nothing that can happen in life that I would label as such (and please don't think this means I haven't experienced loss or heartache). Dan made a post a long time ago that at the time I thought was totally radical, but which now seems common sense to me. You can find it here: In Love With My Sister in Law. You can also find out a lot about what I'm talking about by following pretty much any of Angela's posts where she talks about "cheating" -- well pretty much any of her posts.

I don't know if that makes any more sense than my original statement, but feel free to converse with me more about this if you'd like.

My biggest fear is that maybe I did it all wrong. I mean, the choices I made when I was young. And I don´t mean really bad things, like drugs or stealing and stuff. I mean, going to college or not going. Marrying or not marrying. Having children or not having children. Developing a carreer or being a mother and wife...that kind of stuff. And some other.
