Default Subliminals and positive thinking

I've been using the "Positive Thinking" subliminal CD by Brain Sync for a few days now, and I am really fascinated by subliminal self-help. A few questions:

Do you think audio subliminals are effective for a substantial change in thought patterns?

If so, what are the best positive thinking subliminal products on the market?

I don't want to waste my time with subliminals if they don't do much, but I really am hoping they're effective. I see conflicting views on this issue all the time.

I don't have experience with subliminals but I think changing your thoughts through to positive thinking (if it works) is not the best approach if happiness is what you are after.

The Error of Positive Thinking

What is your reason to use subliminals?

Yes, I use positive thinking for happiness (in a broad sense). Your article reminds me of Buddhist thought (perhaps you have studied dharmic religions?). It's not really a path I have any desire for, to be honest.

I tried some Think Right Now cds (thinkrightnow.com) for about a year and they didn't work for me. In my opinion, positive thinking was just a band-aid. It wasn't getting to the root cause of my problems. Now I'm an avid follower of nickpagan.com.

While positive thinking is worthwhile in some instances I think that those subliminals are not effective and probably a waste of time/money.

Default I don't know about subliminals...

I have a friend who swears by them, but I don't know. I do know that positive affirmations are effective when coupled with monitoring yourself and preparing yourself for negative people you may encounter. It's all about having an effective plan to sidestep negativity.

While it matches somewhat to buddhist thought it is not exclusive to that. I just found that going beyond both positive and negative worked better for happiness.

But you can go on whichever route you choose. Good luck.
