It's also amazing how having your primary goal centered on giving, as opposed to having/getting something for yourself, can keep you consistently motivated. I'm just discovering this now and, although subtle, it seems to make all the difference.

Exactly! I was doing that around two months ago for maybe a week and it was awesome. Then something happened and I fell back to the previous state. Now it has my attention again.

Hey Michael, I like that

zfraile, I can relate to what you're going through. I gave a year of my life going all out to help people, contributing as much as I could to make someone else's life better, but financially it didn't come back to me.

Times were tough, but I had to move on.

Do I recognize there were benefits? Sure. My friends keep telling me how much they've seen me grow, and how I wouldn't be the same person now if I didn't had that experience.

Does it make it easier? Sometimes

zfraile, all I can say is; keep going. The famous character for perserverance in Mandarin is the character of the knife above the character of the heart; the heart must keep going despite all trials.

I wish you well.
