| I want to develop the courage to act on my desires and to remove whatever little inhibitions I have left, but the problem is that I don't really know what I'm afraid of. I love public speaking, I'm confident around new people, and I generally just don't bump into situations that would even hint on where the boundaries of my comfort zones are (though I instinctively feel that there are things that I'm afraid of, I just can't pinpoint what they are, exactly). So I'd like to hear some (reasonable) suggestions on what kind of things I could try out doing that would test just how comfortable I am outside of my comfort zones. Any suggestions?

| I have a guaranteed method for you. Act on your desires. Why search for fear if you are just trying to get rid of it? If there is none, there is none, if you see some then you see it. Life is a school, it teaches. All you have to do is live and learn, the teachings already come as a part of life. Live as fully as possible towards what you feel is right and all necessary objects will appear before you. It is just a matter of recognising them.

| I agree with what Jarrod said. If you want to know what your fears are, just live your life and pay close attention to your feelings and actions, and reactions. Fear actually has many disguises because fear desperately needs to be heard, but it is a weak emotion that you probably wouldn't listen to unless it was disguised as something else more powerful. Usually when we feel pure fear we naturally do anything we can to get rid of it, listening to it is the last thing we want to do. Fear is often the underlying root of anger, bitterness, judgment, self-righteousness, jealousy, and sometimes even plain old contentment. Pay very close attention to times when you don't feel fully aligned with yourself emotionally, you feel a little "off" or uncomfortable and reflect on that. |
