Default Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and....

..you weep alone!

This is something I still struggle to come to terms with, but I find evidence of this not only in my life but in the life of others too. With all the compassion I have for mankind in general, this is really somthing to get to terms with.
Isn't it is the tough moments, when we are low in energy or moods that we would benefit from human compassion and love and contact most? But the opposite is the case, when we are upbeat and high in spirit, we magnetically draw people towards us, but when we are depressed, exhaused or tired people try to avoid us or mirror negativity.

Just the other day I was feeling excellent. I cannot describe it but I almost felt as if I was glowing from the inside. I thnik this is because I know my goals are clear and I am consistently working towards them, the relationships with my parents has never been better and like wise with my partner.

On these days I noticed that some negative people I see regularly were actually positive towards me, guys heads turned when I walked past, I received a number of compliments in one day. I was not doing anything particularly great that day just the usual routine but because I was so positive people were responding, every person I dealt with that day genuinely were happy to deal with me.

Where as on a negative day I might stand there and have a whine about something with another negative person. I decided be positive and you attract positive people which makes you positive again, smile when you feel like crying because often you end up with a genuine smile anyway.

interesting and true observation.

Also, people are attracted to things that seem mysterious and intriguing. Even if you arent in the best of moods, if you act indifferent and aloof, most emotionally healthy people will be drawn to you.

some days im just in a bad mood, but i also try to not let that stream out into my interactions. i noticed on other days if im in a great mood and im being friendly to everyone, i will encounter the one or 2 negative people that dont respond in a positive way. I usually steer clear of these people.

yes, one negative person I see regularly went almost mental that I was so positive and attractive. I avoid her at all costs now.

I agree with you, metamorph. It's sad/hypocritical in one way, but most people are not strong enough to hold their positive state when faced with negativity, hence they get drawn into it. That, or they would get drawn into it, do not want that, and hence avoid you.

So it's our job, being self-aware, to reduce the amount of times we are in the negative states, and to spread our positivity to those who need it most. Those individuals who have done so are revered by society. I really believe that this is one of our core purposes as self-aware individuals in our current society.

Misery loves company as well. Negative people attract negative people and circumstances.

However, most people secretly want to feel good, so they will be drawn to that too.
