Default TAT - Tapas Acupressure Technique

I had a very interesting experience with TAT, where I've been using it for a couple days in the morning. I didn't think of the correlation 'til yesterday, but the other morning, I woke up and realized I have to do things differently in regards to money. I owe a couple people money, and while I don't like being in debt, I've kept putting off paying them back. They're OK with this - they know my situation, and know I'll pay them back "when I can". But the other morning, I woke up and thought - what a **** I've been! (not in a disparaging way, just... taking advantage, I think) I need to get them paid back! Or at least start with $2 a week, or something - it needs to be a higher priority than it has been. This is a radical shift for me - money is tight, and has been for a while now. My car is in the shop, and I don't have money right now to get it out, etc. I can easily tell myself "I can't afford to pay them back!" but I *can* send them something. I just made the connection yesterday that it was probably the TAT that triggered that change. Thanks, Tapas!

It's so funny - I got on here to share about TAT, and found it mentioned in another thread. It's a powerful technique!

Looking at the TFT site now. I've found EFT great the past week so going to dive into this stuff!

That was me!

carenk - I feel so happy that TAT (an acronym for Tapas Accupressure Technique, is case anyone is wondering!) is working so well for you.

I have been using the TAT for Weight Loss Program (Kaiser Permanente actually did a study with TAT as a weight loss aid, and found it very useful).

I've done the program for almost 3 weeks now (it's a 6 month program). And, I haven't been exactly diligent about it - but the results are quite interesting:
  • I lost about 70% of my appetite. I still have hunger - but that's different from appetite.
  • If I overeat, I feel incredibly sick. I no longer feel that same "ah, I'm full," satisfied feeling.
  • I've cut down stress-and-boredom eating about 50%. In fact, alot of "trigger" situations, I don't even think about food. Before, I would instantly think, "I need to eat, now!"

By the way, none of the above is based on willpower. I instead see food as...well...food! Before, I saw food as a tool to anesthetize myself. And this is from a slightly half-ass 3 week attempt.

I haven't reached the "I hate exercise" portion of the program yet. I am curious to see how it will change my perspective.
