| I am now wanting to become a pastor, but I don't know the first thing about it. I understand that I may need to go to school or something, and hopefully God will supply the finances for me to go. Any advice or suggestions? |
| |||
| Yeah, that's the best advice we can give you. If you know what organization you are pursuing, then they will be able to help you. If you don't know or don't want an organization, then, well, introspection may be in order. |

| There are several ways of doing this, but the most common are: 1. Find a church or organization that shares your beliefs and try to work your way up through their ranks until you get to the position you desire. Consider that this might take many years, and there are not guarantees, but faith is perhaps the most powerful tool we have at our disposal. 2. Plant your own church. This might be more difficult at first, but you will have more control over your message and your organization. I recommend you do a search on Amazon for "church planting" books. Get a few of those and go from there. Best of luck. We need more good leaders in this world.

| Do some research from a third party perspective before you dive in wholeheartedly. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! |

| Do you have the gifts of beign a pastor?, read the bible a lot, read Ephesians 4, again, read the bible a lot, there you would find what God wants of you.

| Also, there are millions more books out there than the bible that talk about the bible from many perspectives. Give those books a look too - it's not a sin to do so! |

| Watch this, it's about one of my favorite pastors! It's about a guy clearly following the path of Jesus Christ. |

| You want to be a Pastor, then become a Pastor. You could research as much as you want, but if you want to be something- become that thing now. Find a church that you feel comfortable with, talk to the pastoral staff about what steps they think you should take as far as becoming a pastor. You may first become a youth pastor or an associate pastor, I know most associate and senior pastors continue theology and schooling even after taking a position at the church. But if you want to be something and you "know" that is what you want then go for it. Don't worry about having the "Gift" you will decide if it is something you really want when you decide that is what you want to do with your life. At this point, all I can tell you is to just jump right into it, visit churches, read the bible, read books on theology, visit some Christian colleges, do what ever it is that you feel is inline with who you believe you are and let go of the fear associated with the not knowingness... just jump in and enjoy every moment of living your life the way you want to live it. |

With other types of stuff, the oposite applies though, but in regards of God things, things are a little different. Jesus bless you.
