| I'm having an enormously difficult time. My consciousness have evolved quite enormously over these past few years. I feel more alive and emotionally than ever, So I have a very difficult time engaging in rational, consciousness-lowering tasks to grow my business. Namely, marketing, and any technical website-oriented details. These tasks are not difficult for me, in fact I find them to be quite easy. I just get irritated doing them because it lowers the quality of my emotional self. How does one go about reconciling an emotional struggle with a necessary task? Please let me know. Thank you. |

| The key issue, in my opinion, is your belief that rational tasks such as marketing or technical website-oriented tasks are somehow "consciousness-lowering." Tasks do not lower the quality of our emotional self - only our choice in how we respond to the tasks can lower that. It is sort of the classic "either/or" mentality between spirituality and physicality. I went through that so I can really empathize. I experienced all these wonderful upper chakra states of being. Then I would come down from those states and the lower chakra physical life seemed dull and flat. The key is to bridge the upper and lower chakras, the spirituality and physicality with the heart (the middle chakra.) There is an expression that goes something like: Before enlightenment, chop wood & carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood & carry water. Our physical life does not need to change necessarily, but the love and awareness that we bring to the tasks totally changes our experience. We are here to bring spirit into matter. Try having fun with your tasks and bringing that sense of aliveness that you have into the tasks. |

This will not only make it possible for you to complete the tasks you see as mundane, but the meditative practice will spill over into the rest of your life and raise your consciousness further.
