i've had bdd for 6 years now but recently had a relapse after i dyed my hair blonde and hate how it looks. i look terrible. it's causing me serious distress since i can't leave my house or be seen by anyone other than mum and dad who i live with but even now i don't want them to see me. i've run out of medication (i'm on 40mg of fluoxetine a day), but i can't even leave to get that. i'm finding it so hard to calm down since what i done and don't want to leave the house until it grows out or i can change it. i know i'll be able to change it again myself back to how i wanted it but right now i'm finding it really hard to just function ok.

Ok, it seems you need your medication first yo you can get the rest of your life back in order (it seems you are aware that your looks are not the problem). Possibilities: - Could you phone your doc and have someone bring the meds? - Could you get your parents to fetch them for you? - Ever tried headscarves?

Hi Oceane. I can totally sympathize with freaking out and not wanting to leave the house. I definitely agree with Cran that having someone bring you your medication is a great idea. In the meantime, is there something around the house that you can do to relax? Listen to music? Dance? Clean? Draw? etc. My heart is with you.
