Default Realigning your emotional focus after a distraction

What are some ways you guys recommend to getting your mind and emotions back into focus, as quickly as possible, after being derailed by interruption?

What are some good resources for further learning this topic?

I find a quiet place if possible and just take some deep breaths for a few moments to a few minutes and find this centers me and stops the incessant chatter in my conscious and unconscious mind about anything that is causing upset or pain and distracting me from my primary purpose.
