Default How do you stop hating everything...

A friend had an "Aha Moment" and shared it with me but other than the "change what you hate" answer I did not have much else to truly help.

So I ask:

How do you help a person who has just realized that he/she has spent his/her entire life hating what he/she is doing, how they are living, who they love and is hard pressed to find something they truly love. This realization came to someone who has spent an entire lifetime not knowing that hate has been a driving life force. Perhaps it is a victim mentality, still this needs to change.

It is not a question of physical change, it is a need for emotional, mental and spiritual change. Or person will keep manifesting hateful situation without even knowing it.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to change a deep rooted subconsicous issue?

I will also be looking into this and post any updates I find.

Thanks

Oh damn what a great position to be in.

Its the start of the journey.
Still rough and challenging.
Still exciting and exhillerating.

Finally he has awakened from his slumber, ready to face the world head on.

Sure its gonna hurt, he has to realize though that staying where he is hurts even more.
That worrying about the past or things beyond his control hurt even more.

Oooh what an exciting place to be in..... think of it like a heavy shell incasing a young child... the shell breaks and a little child of wonder can step out !!!!

your friend is going to be a little vulnerable right now.....that is normal too
because he has just had a huge awakening to what is inside of him and ownership of it means change!!! think of it like a rebirth nurturing your inner child., to see all new things and new ways to view life , new thoughts new perceptions.... authentic smiles and authentic laughter,

He will see in time the futility of much needless anger ! glad he has you as a friend!!

I wish your firend the best , as he is on a new journey and it will be wonderful

Well, it was your friend's aha moment, so the only help she needs is celebration!

It's her journey. She'll have her own breakthroughs and choices to make. She doesn't "need" to change. All you have to do is listen generously to her and accept her exactly as she is and exactly as she isn't. Grant her the freedom to be who she is, and you focus on your own breakthroughs and choices.
