I understand what you're saying. If someone punched me in the face i wouldn't judge them as being bad, but i would consider their action being bad. I'd wonder why they would do such a thing and try get to the bottom of it and explain that acting out that way is harmful. Who likes getting punched in the face? hehe Not many people.

Labeling actions doesn't cut me off at all from understanding. If no one knew punching others in the face wasn't a good thing then we'd all have black eyes. In order for clarity you don't need to just understand why the situation is as is, but also what the right thing to do is, how to act in a way that won't cause that sort of harm.

Spirittap:[Read what you said. In order for any change to happen we need to know what behavior is acceptable. Raising a child involves teaching them good behavior from bad.]

I said CHANGE the way we raise our children, not the same old, same old judging them as good or bad. They will live up to any reputation you give them. It even works the same way for adults.

Sprittap:[I think you're getting the impression that i shun and make people feel shame when i correct them or just say their behavior is unacceptable.]

No, that's your impression of my impression. Not the way I see you at all. The thought never entered my head.

Spirittap:[You seem to have a problem with the word good, bad, right, and wrong.[/quote]

Yes in this case I do have a problem of using good, bad, right and wrong to judge people. You have assessed me perfectly. However, I think you have the bigger problem with these than I. It must have a huge effect in your life trying to live up to your standards.

Spirittap, I used to judge myself by my own standards and it brought me to my knees. Thanks to you and this forum I have fully recognised it in myself and am now in the process of turning it around. I could have known this years ago and saved myself from the pits of hell. Still, hell was a valuable experience but I would not recommend it. Take care.
