For me, hands down it has to be my mom, or rather both my parents( besides myself). its funny, growing up, I always felt my parents were a big reason why I was depressed and I saw them as unfit parents. Yet now that I'm older (and wiser!) I see how much they struggled for myself and my siblings and I hope I can be half an amazing parents as they are to us. they've worked long nights, working crappy jobs for very little money. Yet they never had enough to indulge in their spending , but rather spending all their money on us, and our education is truly a beautiful thing. I guess what I'm trying to say is that my biggest inspiration in life are my parents. They might not be 'perfect' in their ways but they are amazing nonetheless for all that they've done for us. yay, a happy thread!!! so who's your inspiration? My biggest inspiration is not the rich and famous. It is not the person that has accomplished the most and has the greatest riches. It is the person who despite all odds gets up everyday with a great attitude and does what must be done to survive. It is easy being an inspiration in very dramatic situations. It is exceptional to be those people that can be knocked down yet remain true to themselves, have a positive attitude and always keep going for a better tomorrow. My x-husband was not perfect but he had a great attitude. If he would have been on the Titanic he would have believed that if he held on tight when he hit the bottom he would push off and head right back to the surface. Adversity and challenge did not stop him. That is something to admire. |

Angela (from this forum) has been a big inspiration to me. Just about every post she makes here has inspired and challenged me to think in a different, more loving and generous way. Her posts are caring and kind, yet she is also unwavering and true to her beliefs. She doesn't belittle others and knows when to acknowledge that someone else just sees things differently than she does. I love reading anything that she writes because her posts are concrete reminders to me of the loving life that I am learning to live. Thanks Angela!

Well sounds strange but my biggest inspiration is not a human, or an idea, it's nature, animals and music. When I spend some time close to nature, or with animals, or listening to some beautiful music, especially someone singing, I feel .... can't explain how I feel, but I know that's the state I (and the entire humanity) want to reach permanently. They teach me lessons I can't explain with words, but that are the highest inspiration I could ever get. Angela is a great inspiration too, though, indeed edit: close your eyes and listen to that song and tell me if you're not inspired! Yi Re Yio Last edited by Rose of Cairo; 12-19-2007 at 05:18 PM. |

this is gonna sound funny, but it is true. Darma from darma and Greg. When I would watch that show, I would think how I want to be more free spirited, and easy going. I have been working on that, and its a great feeling instead of being uptight and stressed Ama |
