I have worked with clients who were depressed and the one thing that is important is this question.

What do you want?

You need to have a big goal that’s that grand for you to reach. My experience is that when you are depressed you get caught up in all the negative little things.

Unconsciously you focused on the little things which constantly pulled you into that black hole.

You have piqued my curiousity! Could you share some of the ways you've been able to help your depression?

JSB-
I'm afraid Im not totally clear of depression, but discovering I'm psychic gave the depression a major kick in the ass. I am able to communicate with my recently dead dad, and his ancestors and also strangers. These types of dead folks NEVER want to hurt you, only help you, so its like having your own cheer-leading team behind you all the time. (sans short skirts and pom poms haha)
This kind of emotional support never existed before my "skills" developed.

Also, the concept of being able to see and help other people with my abilities is a major confidence-booster, something I also lacked before.

More generally, reading endless books about these abilities and all their trappings has changed my viewpoint on my depressed behavior. For example, I used to have serious OCD. I'd wash my hands 14 times a day! Now I look at that behavior differently. I see that I was so negative and so personally distraught that I was using water to attempt to psychically cleanse myself. There are other examples I wont bore you with, the bottom line is that in the psychic context, negative energy (that would cause depression) is given a face/name like "demon" or "vampire" and through this simple symbolism Ive been able to visualize the erosion of it.

The basic human experience has been analyzed by all fields- so far Ive been through the scientific psychological field and that only got me hooked on SSRIs, and now I'm the same person with the same problems but the psychic field puts the power to help myself in MY hands, not in the hands of a prescription or therapist.

I guess this isnt what you were looking for in terms of "tips" but its my abbreviated story.

I am a life long sufferer of manic depressive of the most severe kind, for the past few years I have been balanced fairly well.

Like you I am psychic

I might share some of my story with the forum, later when we get to know each other better
