Im new..and I really need help.
 

I am new to EVERYTHING..I have just been take under the wing of a very nice guy who is trying to help me clean up my life and get rid of some of my bitter darker side..I am a normal 21 year old..if there is such a thing go to college hang with typical obnoxious drunk guys do not know any pagans or wiccans, forgive me I really know NOTHING but heres my issue..This wonderful guy taught me a way to seek out my Spiritual guide..I am following directions exactly and I end up sitting in woods in my head im very very very relaxed and waiting to see something emerge and there are crows calling and the winds blowing and then this black dog or wolf lunges at me from nowhere...snarling growling snapping the whole bit..Thing looks like its ready to rip my throat out..so of course I vacate and ditch my efforts to locate my guide. What the hell is going on?

I really don't know enough about this subject to be of help, but have you read Erin's blog? I know she has an entry about Spirit Guides: Who are they and how do you connect with them? and How to Meet your Higher Self.
