I'm a bit confused on how to listen to self hypnosis recordings to get the most effective results. Some say that you should not try to think consciously of what is being said, and let the subconscious mind do all the positive work on your behalf. But some say that you should pay attention and paint images in the mind of what is being said. So which one?

You are missing the point. Hypnosis is about following what you are told. If the voice tells you to pay attention you do, if the voice tells you not to think consciously of what is being said you do that. Don't try to control the process. |
