Default Thank you! thank you! Thank you times a trillion!

It’s been almost a year that I’ve been lurking in these forums. And to tell you the truth this site has been a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge support for me . I mean yeah, I had my psychiatrist, and my therapist, dealt with my mental disorder, self-hate, but man, reading the stories and getting the support from all of you who’ve time and time again answered my what I thought to be ‘silly-stupid-pathetic’ questions, are not so. These questions that I’ve asked have only helped me for the better!

What I’m trying to say is that even from the most terrible pasts, or childhood, or dissapointments you may think define you, you are WRONG!! Absolutely WRONG. The future is of vast opportunity is for those who are willing to FIGHT to get where they want to be even though it might be scary or who have had no previous successes to look back on. You won’t know unless you try!! Ask questions! Ask, how can I become a better person, how can I be the person I want to be and not anyone else. Askaskask. You learn to be great, by studying the great, and those who’ve overcame many an obstacle!!

If ya’ll have any questions do ask them!!

Very well said lightthecandle...

Life is not biographical... and our past does not equate our future... you seem to be a living proof of that...

Thank you for your testimonial and hope that it brings a ray of hope for those who have traveled a path similar to yours in the past...

Thanks for this post!
It's a great problem for me. I have a pattern in my reality, or a belief... Here it is.

People like me only when I tell positive things. If I start confessing something shameful about myself or asking really difficult questions without toning down my emotions - people get scared, ignore me and so on.

I can get love and support only from a "randomly appeared" person. I mean, if I try to find such a person, I fail. The person appears from somewhere eventually, when I don't expect it. And this happens really rare. Well, I should not complain. Such rare persons are my great friends. I just want more great friends!

If you want to be my friend - just contact me and say so! ICQ is preferred, my ID is 15192950.

As for this forums - I have some fears. First, its team bans for expressing negative emotions. Second, sometimes it is really hard to form a meaningful question. Third, I use my real identity here, not a fancy nick

Well, I'll get over it eventually...

I agree with this.

Thanks to all those who provide support, and thanks to all those with the courage to ask their questions.

First, love yourself and don't worry so much when people like you and when they don't.

Second, put yourself in their shoes. People gravitate to other people who smile, who are positive, who laugh, and who talk about all the great things they want to do. People tend to stay away from people who complain, frown, or look angry. It is just human nature, it is not you or your personality. Don't become a victim and identfy with it. Instead, believe in yourself and encourage others.

I wish you the best.

You are so right! Just articulating the questions here thoughtfully can light the candle for your path, never mind even the answers you get!

Your questions and remarks are always thoughtful, lightthecandle, and you a great contributor of spirit, love, and light. Thank you.
