| I have younger bros and sis and i feel like i pretty much suck at being an older, smarter, wiser older sis. I do have an older sis however, i haven't seen her in 10 years, and she's married, and never ever around. I feel like m y overall anger with myself, is showing in my relationships with them...which is reallyrealy not fair for them especially. I just wish i was ok with myself, and that it would show in my relationships with my siblings. and I"ve left for college after spending 2 months home, and i still feel like i left with a taint on my part. help! |

| Let it go and give it time. I'm the baby of my family, and my brothers are my best friends, but it takes maturation on the part of everyone. Be emotionally honest and just freely love them and let them know you care. Then it's their job to pick it up.

| You're a great sister! Even asking this question of yourself reveals perfection is in you already. As far as how to strengthen your relationship with your sibs with great love, respect, and acceptance, you answered that as well. The success of any relationship for all of us begins within. Really loving the person inhabiting our skin. (And you're getting it much earlier in life than I did!)

| There are two good questions to ask other people when you want to improve your relationships with them: 1. On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 1 being low and 10 being high), what do you think is the quality of our relationship/friendship/family? 2. What would it take to get it to a 10? You don't have to do what the person asks you to do, but this is a good exercise to find out where you stand and how to improve the quality of your relationships. |
