Default CSW: How long to say?

Hi everyone. Well, I'm finally taking the plunge and flying across the country to go to one of Steve's workshops, and it looks like I'm coming at just the right time since financial abundance and service has been my main focus this year.

I was looking around Kayak.com for airline tickets and deciding on how long I should stay. I'm thinking of flying in Thursday morning on Jan 12th and leaving Tuesday morning on January 17th. Those would be the cheapest days to fly in/out, and I've also heard that people get together and do things after the workshop.

So, just out of curiosity, if any of you are flying in from out of state, how many days are you staying? Would Tuesday be too soon to fly out, or just right?

Thanks

Default It should work

I think that leaving on Tuesday would be just right. I have had the experience of staying too short and too long. The first time I went to a CGW, I went for a week in July. Not many went to that particular CGW, and everyone had left by Tuesday morning. I was alone for the last two days of the trip. In a typical workshop, about 1/2 leave on Sunday night or Monday morning.

When I went back in October, I left on early Monday morning, and I felt like I missed out on many activities taking place on Monday. When I went to SRW a couple of weeks ago, I went from Thursday afternoon to Monday night. This seemed to work well, as it matched up with most other attendees travel plans.

I think you have a good plan. Go for it! I hope this helps.

I look forward to meeting you in January. Unfortunately, my schedule around that time requires me to leave on Sunday right after the workshop.

Hey Burris!

Thanks so much for the feedback. That's about what I was expecting, and it's encouraging.

Right now I'm debating weather I want to leave at 11AM Tues or 11AM Wed. I go to thinking that whatever happens monday night, I'd have to leave for the airport at 9:00ish the following morning.

So monday would have to be an early night, and that might end up being a bummer.
On the other hand, I don't want to be gone too long either. What do you think?

I'll probably get the tickets in a couple days.

I think I was tired or something when I wrote that last message. Clearly leaving on Tuesday would be good. Thanks again for your feedback.

Also, I just found out Southwest is doing some great deals until the 14th, so I'm grabbing a ticket now.

Really excited!

Default Coming too ...

Hi. I plan to be at the workshop as well. This will be my first Steve Pavlina workshop although I have read most of his book.

I will be looking for a female roommate(s) as we get closer to the workshop. I am flying in Thursday afternoon and leaving Monday morning. So I can definitely meet up with people for dinner Thursday and Sunday nights.

I believe that Steve once mentioned that CSW will be the most linear workshop of the four this year. I hope that we get to do some creative exercises too because I am both left-brained and right-brained - perhaps leaning towards being more right-brained.

Also, has anyone else read the latest sales copy for the CSW? The writing style for the copy seems different than what I am used to seeing on Steve's blog.

Hi Andreas, Burris and Rapid,

I will attend CSW as well and I am looking forward to get immersed. This is going to be my first Steve workshop and I will be glad to know all of you in person. I am flying in from out of the country, all the way from Brazil. The City I live in is called Curitiba and is located in the shout of Brazil when in the winter temperature could get down to -2°C (28 °F), but hopefully in the summer temperatures reach 30°C (86 °F) or more. If anyone is curious, check out this Youtube video about the city.

Enjoy Curitiba! - YouTube

I am going to travel with my family (my wife, one son and one daughter). They will enjoy Las Vegas while I will attend the workshop. I love personal development since I was 16 years old and I will really enjoy sharing ideas and experience with you and everyone at the workshop. I see this forum as a great tool so we can connect beforehand with everyone that will attend the workshop. Then, making new friend while at the workshop will be much easier if we get to know each other a little bit in this media.
So, I invite all of you to share a bit of your background. Sounds good?
I promise to share more of my background as the conversation goes further.
Regards to everyone,

Edward Schmitz
