Default More workshops

FYI I'm currently in talks with a couple Vegas hotels about booking more workshops. I'll be checking out some meeting rooms next week.

The earliest these workshops would take place would be in the Fall. There are a lot of variables, so no guarantees just yet. It depends on whether we can find suitable rooms and negotiate a win-win deal. I'm optimistic about it though.

Ideally I'd like to undertake a major expansion in this area and start doing workshops 1-2x per month, not just more CGWs but new 3-day workshops on career & finances, relationships & social skills, subjective reality, and more.

My main motivation for doing this is to help create more opportunities for people in this community to come together in person and meet each other. I've seen what a cool community has sprouted from CGWers keeping in touch, especially via Facebook.

That's so great!! I'm sure people will benefit so much from this. I know I'd love to come back for more workshops at some point... Hope you'll have more of them in Europe too (though Vegas is great, but a bit far away for some of us...)

CGW was starting to feel basic and repetitive (duh, after going 4 times). There were definitely some great stories and Truths shared that still stand out in my mind, such as "This is a stupid breakfast!" story and hearing more about Steve building up the courage to leave the game development world to pursue his new career while taking a pay cut in the short-run, which I'm experiencing now.

The greatest value for me from going to the CGW's was from connecting with Seekers of Truth, lightworkers, future lightworkers, and like-minded individuals. Connecting with so many people on different levels and different paths allows you to learn and experience the "subjective reality" mumbo jumbo stuff first-hand.

Also, since I went to so many CGWs, I have 100+ Facebook friends who attended. Now when I log into Facebook I see people sharing inspiring quotes, their growth, travel adventures, and their pursuit of happiness and dreams. Having an abundance of positive people in my online social network has helped give me more confidence in my perspective and growth.

A few CGW'ers and I have have expressed interest in paying more for a mastery workshop. New workshops that are more specialized and focused sure sound appealing!

I'm glad to see more in the making. After not seeing any upcoming workshops listed lately I was starting to think I might have missed the boat.

It will probably still be at least a year or two before I make it to one in Nevada. If there were a workshop on the east coast for under $500 I'd go immediately (since airfare wouldn't be an issue), but anything over that puts me into 1-3 year planning mode--my own personal mental limit for the moment.

edit: I would hopefully be more open to sudden change if I were not already moving forward on a path I'm happy with.

I'm in California, so... ROAD TRIP! A workshop on finances would be most welcome. I'm still working on shifting some outdated beliefs there.

Met with the MGM Grand and the Tropicana this morning. Both have suitable meeting rooms that should work well for future workshops. They're excellent locations too, right on the Vegas Strip and only 5 minutes from the airport.

Now I have to review the finer points of each booking situation and see if we can work out a win-win deal, but I'd say there's a 90% chance we'll be able to make something happen for the Fall.

I'd love to go to a workshop.

I hope to be able to come to the next one or the one after next

I'm sure you'll have an awesome time, but going to Vegas for your first trip to the US will give you an awfully strange view of what things are like over here!

I don't think the view it will give me will be any stranger than mixed signals that media is broadcasting about US :P

P.S. I wonder sometimes, do you guys seriously have Mean Chearleeder whose boyfriend is Popular Jock in high schools?

Well, I always figure nobody really believes what they see in the movies, but Vegas is super-weird in real life, though definitely a worth the experience.

When I was in high school, yes, we did have that couple, but we also had Nice Cheerleader whose boyfriend was Popular Jock, so it's not just one sided!

You people are weird

I also wonder do people really sleep around as much as in "Gossip Girl" or "Grey's Anatomy". I guess what surprises me is not as much the sleeping around itself, but how quickly they move on from one relationship to other and nobody seems to hold grudges for longer than 3 episodes. I sometimes think that characters in those TV shows are tantric yogis in disguise who already overcame attachement to romantic relationships

I think it has more to do with the fact that holding a grudge is interesting for 2 or 3 episodes, not not longer then that.

I always loved how in the Bold and the Beautiful (my mom used to watch) babies were born, a year later they were young teenagers, and again a year later they would be 21 or 22 and stay that way for a LONG time (like.... 6 seasons) and then they would marry and stay end 20's for the rest of the time.....
