Every time I read one of these threads I'm almost literally jumping up and down in my chair with excitement!!!

In 10 days a holiday with my wonderful darling husband and in 21 days an AWESOME workshop with AWESOME people!!

I am usually early for events like this. There is just something special for me as I watch people wondering if the person is part of the group. I sit there thinking good and loving thoughts anticipating the joy of the new connections and the joy of reconnecting with friends from other conferences.

I'm arriving Thursday at 5pm, so by the time I get to Flamingo and settled it'll probably be almost 7pm.

Heading over to Ceasar's for multiple dining options sounds great -- thanks 90802 for organizing!

Question: Am considering not taking my laptop to cancel out that distraction, but will I be missing out on meetup details if I'm not online? I have a dumbphone so it's only good for calls/text.

Advice appreciated,

Besides, I think the Flamingo charges $10 a day for net access.

I don't think so. If you can text we can always arrange things that if something changes or happens that we text each other?

Besides, we'll see each other in person on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I think that should be enough time to make some real life plans

it only takes 10-15 mins, but if you are arriving after midnight the party will probably be over and you should hit the sack so you're fresh for the morning. (that's the mama bear in me)
