During the recent call held today we realized that it is better to ask potential participants - what time will be more suitable for them?

Now meetup calls are held on Sundays, 8 a.m. PST
Maybe it will be more suitable to start calls later.
Maybe even at another day.

What are your suggestions?

I've joined some calls and I like the concept of a mastermind group amongst many people from different regions. I've also experienced the benefits firsthand.

But the current timing is hard for me as it is midnight at my time, and frequently results in an exceptionally blue Monday. I'm wondering how many people would be keen to do a call during the day time on Sunday in Australasia (time zone around GMT +8:00).

I personally feel people from related time zones should arrange their own chats since it's too difficult to coordinate all time zones at once. It's 5 o'clock somewhere.

For example, 8 am PDT is 10 am CDT, and that's an hour before church for me. I wouldn't be able to talk for very long.

It would be a good idea to hold calls at different times for each region. Then there could also be a global group call. All times should be given in GMT and local times. For example, the Americas and Europe could be 3 pm gmt / 8 am pdt. Asia / Oceania could be 12 am gmt. Europe could have their own at 8 am gmt too. Other regions can join each others calls when convenient. We could also do it by languages. There was a german gruop for a while. I propose a Spanish group ( I need the practice). However, I also want unity so these are some ideas.

I'm also in favor in having several regional groups who organize their own calls. I plan on starting one myself in Ireland when I move back in December.

For now though, I plan to continue taking part in the Sunday CGW call which we usually have at 8am Pacific. I'd encourage anyone who can't make that one to start their own group (several smaller groups means more involvement for everyone, too). I can give advice on running the call via Skype if needed.
