I plan to visit CGW #5. I am from Russia and condition to get american visa for Russians are very strict, many applicants are refused. As I plan to visit the seminar it seems more suitable to business/conference visa. But as the seminar is not the only place to visit in the USA and I plan to stay there for some days tourist visa is more suitable. Not to make any mistake in documents is stronly required to get american visa for Russians. Is here anybody from a country with such strict rules? Any suggestions? |

No experience, but as a general idea: For a business visa you usually need a sponsor, either in your home country or in the US. Someone who can say that you are there on legitimate reasons. What I think is most important is that you can prove beyond a doubt that you plan to return. So having a family, a steady job, a return ticket etc, are all things that will work in your favor. |
