With the CGW #4 a little over a month away already, I am wondering who else will be attending this workshop. This will be my first workshop, and I have been really looking forward to attending. I will fly in Thursday afternoon, and will leave the following Wednesday in the afternoon. Hopefully, this will be enough time to connect with people and do some sightseeing outside of the city as well. Some ideas that I had were to visit either Zion Canyon or the Grand Canyon, maybe even both, if there is enough time. Regardless, I look forward to seeing all of you there! |

I am very excited about the workshop as well. I'm going through many changes in my life and Steve's blog has helped me build up my power and self-discipline in order to take control of my life. I'm ending my second year at San Jose State University in California, and I've decided I'm not going back. I'm going to Massage school this summer, and one of the main principles I want to work on this summer is Love in terms of having relationships, a career, and environment that is inspiring to my growth. Looking forward to meeting everyone, learning about everyone's goals, and discussing the principles of personal development in our lives. I'm also interested in going to the raw vegan restaurants around town, and maybe finding some people to go to a Bikram yoga class with. |

Hey there new workshoppers! I attended the first three workshops and found each and everyone of them to be an incredibly rewarding experience! So congrats on making the decision to attend. I won't make the July workshop just because it is a bit soon after the May one I just attended but perhaps we will see each other in October should you decide to attend again. The CGW forum is a great source of information. You may also want to consider joining the Conscious Growth Workshop Facebook group and befriending other CGWers in advance of the workshop if you have not already done so. If you want to know what the previous workshops were like and the impact they have--I reviewed CGW1 and CGW2 on my website. I suspect I will be writing a review of CGW3 in the near future. I tend to do my best evaluation of the CGW experience some time after the workshop because the important thing is what happens afterwards and there are a lot of shifts occurring in my life right now! Before CGW3--Steve released three freebies that I assume you have right now (I helped create the CGW guide). I found it really helpful to review these resources ahead of attending the workshop. For example listening to the podcast really helped remind me of some of the concepts and got me thinking about the specifics of what I wanted to work on during the workshop. The workshop goes far deeper than just explaining concepts--it is an experience that you actively participate in. As far as things to do--one of my favorites was going hiking at Red Rock Canyon. As far as eating raw and vegan--there is plenty of opportunity to do so. There are two raw food restaurants as well as a vegan restaurant (see the guide for more info) as well as a nearby Whole Foods which provides an abundance of healthy alternative food options. I am kind of jealous because that Whole Foods has so many more raw options plus a juice bar--which is something the Whole Foods here in Madison does not have---yet Again--congrats on your decision to attend the workshop! Is anyone else planning on going? It is less than 2 weeks away... On another note, I am tentatively planning a side trip to visit Zion Canyon in Utah (3 hours northeast of LV from what I hear) on the 20th, after the workshop. I saw a day trip package being offered that takes 8-10 hours total, and I am wondering whether this is a good idea. Has any CGW alumni visited Zion Canyon? I am also planning on doing some indoor skydiving during my time in the area. If anyone is also interested in this, either let me know on this thread or PM me. |

I'm attending. This workshop comes at a good time for me... I just gave notice that I'm leaving my job in finance come fall, and I need to figure out what I'm doing next! I'm three years out of college, so still figuring out what this whole real world thing is all about. I'm getting in Thurs afternoon and leaving early Tues morning, and I'm up for doing things before or after the workshop. I really like hiking -- both on trails and urban -- so I'd definitely be interested in a zion / grand canyon trip, as well as exploring the city. |

Maybe this should be its own thread, but is there any Pre-Workshop meetup planned for this CGW? I have read that in the past that attendees usually get together in the food court at Caesar's palace the night before the workshop for an informal gathering. I suspect this will be the case this time. Are any CGW alumni attending? I know there are some people who have attended all three. I wonder if any of those are coming for a fourth or coming just to hang out. Probably the people who live in the area would come to the meetup. |

Hi- I attended CGW2, loved it, and while I'm not attending #4, I live in Las Vegas and would like to be a part of the group and experience the high level of consciousness that comes with a group like this :-) On that note, Burriss' suggestion to continue the pre-workshop Caesars meetup is probably a good place to start! The food court is around the corner from Pure nightclub, and across from the showroom. Also, I have a spare bedroom in my home and hosted a participant in CGW3, which was a good experience for both of us. If anyone either wants to cut down on expenses by not paying for a hotel room, or wants to experience the CGW with a local alumni, that option might be open. Looking forward to meeting you all, Kevin |

Hi, my name is Matt, and I'm attending CGW4 also. I've never been to one. I wanted to go to the one in May, but couldn't work it with my schedule so I'm really excited to go now!! I'm a software engineer and have been for 8 years. I'm only a few weeks away from finishing an MBA. I look forward to meeting everyone soon! |

Hi All, My name is Yang, I will be attending my first CGW. I am excited for this opportunity to meet the attendees and explore more of myself through this experience. I feel this is the perfect time for me to do this work shop. I've just finished college and are in the process of starting my own business. There are quite a few unknowns in my realm right now but I feel I kind of know what my direction in life is, however I am still figuring it out as I go and certainly don't know all the answers. Are there pre-workshop meetings planned? I will be flying in Thursday night late, but I am up to meet up with other attendees before the workshop. I Look forward to meeting everybody! Best, Yang Last edited by Omkazn; 07-10-2010 at 05:47 PM. |

Congrats to everyone who is attending! Keep an open mind, be proactive about meeting and talking to other people there and you're going to have a great time. Plus, with a smaller group than previous CGW's you might get more individual attention with Steve. Wish you all a great CGW experience. Be sure to let us know how it goes! |

Hey everyone, I'll also be attending my first CGW this weekend, can't wait. I'm flying in from New Orleans late Thursday (9pm) and back out late Monday. Like Yang, I'm interested in meeting some people on Thursday night, despite my late arrival. A little about me: I'm 28 years old, from Ireland, and have been living and working in New Orleans as a web designer since 2007. I'm quitting my job in November and then moving back to Ireland to start my own location-independent, minimalist business. Looking forward to meeting everyone. We're going to have a blast, I'm sure. |

Hi everyone, This will be my first CGW as well. I'll be in Thursday morning and looking forward to getting together with fellow attendees and available alumni. Like several other attendees (and Steve too), I'm from a software development background (those interested in seeing more about that can check out http://www.UdiDahan.com). See you all there. -- Udi |

Looking forward to meeting everyone at CGW 4. Just thought I'd give a plug for my blog so people can read it before they meet me. It's TravisDharma.com Definitely still interested in visiting the raw/vegan restaurants and giving massages to people. |

I hope you all have a great time at CGW 4. This is the first one I am not attending, so I am eager to hear how it goes. I imagine the Thursday night meet up is just about to take place. Based on my diary entries, it appears that this is the one-year anniversary of my registering for CGW 1! I knew that I was coming from the moment I saw the announcement, but it was exactly a year ago I pulled the trigger. It has been an incredible experience. I hope to see CGW 4 attendees at CGW 5! Cheers! Sonya |
