CGW Attendee Intro

My name is Miguel. This will be my first CGW and I am super excited.
I'm coming in from Austin, TX.

Where I'm at now: I just quit my job of 5 years after not really enjoying it very much for the past year or so. It was high time for a change. I'm actually working my last short work week the week following CGW. After that, I have 2 weeks off... one of which I will spend working on new internet business ventures and one which I will take some "me" time. Then I start an 18-month contract with another company that I used to work for, on a team I really enjoy working with. I've given myself a self-deadline to be self-employed doing my internet ventures by the end of that contract. 11/2011!

Intentions for CGW:
To connect with other like-minded folks. People not locked into the typical 8-5 salary concept (even tho I am still there now, I want to be on my own in 18 months). To feed off that energy and feed my own energy into this as well.
To explore "Oneness" more and become better in new social situations.
To make some long-lasting connections.
To step out of my comfort zone and explore conscious open-mindedness.
To pick up some more tips on *focusing* and getting better about procrastination/ADD.

Really looking forward to this. I have very high expectations and I know they will be surpassed with such a great community!

(I took my iPhone for a swim in Mexico this past week, and I'm going to try to work out a repair or replacement this week. Crossing my fingers as that will sure making meeting up a lot easier)

Hi Miguel,

I am Jesse, This is going to be my first CGW as well and I have similar goals and intentions. I am a software engineer myself but will be "retiring" from the corporate world at the end of this year, as my passive income surpasses expenses. After that I also plan on focusing on further developing my online business ventures. I would love to talk to you about some of the ideas you have running around in your head.

Oh and ill be bringing my five fingers for barefoot running as well. Not sure if ill be able to run because i'm battling an ankle injury, but if I can we should go for a run. I am staying at the Polo Towers, how about you?

Awesome!! yeah I'll have my VFFs. I'm actually just getting started with barefoot running. So I'm still limiting myself to just a mile in the VFFs. Plus I've been out of the running game entirely for nearly a year up until a couple months ago, due to calf/knee issues last year. I'd dig going for a quick run if it's in the cards tho.

Looking forward to chatting about online ventures. It's a fascinating paradigm shift for all kinds of businesses and the potential is unlimited. EXCITING times!!

Greetings gang!

I too am looking forward to my first CGW experience. I've been following Steven and Erin for a couple years now. I've enjoyed a lot of changes in my thinking as a result of opening my thoughts to their experiences.

I think this conference is coming at a great time in my life. I've started to make a lot of changes in my life, but I continue to struggle in the areas of power, confidence, and self-love. I welcome the opportunity to work on these areas and challenge myself.

I'm actually here with my ex. We're both great people, and it's a very positive friendship and fun friendship, but I have to admit I haven't perhaps progressed to the level that Steven and Erin have. I still struggle with past attachments, and this is one of the areas I'm really looking to overcome.

Can't wait to meet everyone!

We're already here! Staying at The Imperial... I'm blown away by Vegas. I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba and I can hardly take in the opulence and excess... it's a whole other mindset in this place. Hard to leave my judgements at the door and just take it in as is!

But it's all good...

Small world My entire family came from Winnipeg. I've lived in Texas since a baby, but the majority of my extended family still lives in Winnipeg and I've spent a couple summers up there. My brother and both sisters grew up there with my parents before I was born.

Hi Stacey, glad to see you are getting along so well with your ex. I know it can be an interesting dynamic. I am now best friends with my ex as well. We were having dinner last night and she said she wanted to come with me if I ever go again. So perhaps I will be bringing my ex sometime in the future.

Miguel, yea running a short distance would be good for me considering where my ankle is right now. I hope the barefoot running helps calf/knee issues. They definitely helped mine. I would be fine right now if I didn't land on a root.

Hey everyone,

I'm Matt and I'm from Victoria, BC, Canada. I'm attending because at the beginning of the year, I had the feeling that this would be a great year for me. I'm not employed at the moment and am willing to go without a job for the rest of the year to develop my business ideas. I enjoy doing web development. I'm also looking to get better at relationships romantically and with friends as I tend to not let people get too close to me. I want to change that.

But basically I'm looking to learn more about myself and become a better person.
