Dear all, Today I decided to leave my job. I have submitted my request to take a 3 month unpaid leave starting March 1, though I have no intention at this point of actually returning. Lately I've been developing my intuitive skills, and over the last week, I've done 15 intuitive/psychic readings for practice, most of them for free. In March, I'll be heading to Las Vegas to train intensively with Erin Pavlina, which I'm really looking forward to. Over the next few weeks, I plan to put up a website and do more readings on a donation basis, and I'm looking forward to building up my skills and meeting more people through readings. Leaving my job is something I've been wanting to do for some time, and today, the chips hit the fan - my boss tactfully confronted me about my declining performance. I knew I was at the end of the road with this job, so I decided to fill out my leave request, and he was more than happy to oblige. So was I - I burst out into singing in the hallways, and felt like doing cartwheels. It was liberating to know that my life is in my own hands. My colleagues were happy for me too, as I never seemed happy while at my job. I don't know 100% where the road ahead leads, but all I can say is, I feel alive and ready to go |

Hey Alex, you sound just like me! Though I never even had the chance to go out and find a job before the professional intuitive impulse hit me like a train. Training with Erin sounds like it will be very exciting, please let us know how that goes. |

Hi Alex, I think you are going to do really well in this profession. I loved the reading you gave me this morning - If I didn't know you, I wouldn't have known that you only just started doing readings because you came across as very confident and very professional. Anna |

Hi mate. While I support you for quitting your job to do something you really like, why do something watery like 'intuitive readings' which is not really going to add value to any life. Why not do something REAL like study mechanical engineering and build a cool new invention, or do something where you'll really give back as much as you earn? Intuitive readings are very hard to make a living in as well, out of every 10000 people perhaps 1 or 2 people make it, and that too if they have some other connections which help get the word out, like Steve pavlina did for his ex wife. As a test, how many people would pay Alex to get a reading? Cheers. |

I sure would! !!! I believe Alex to be very sincere and seem to always be pushing himself to go beyond his comfort zone. I admire that in people. And to be so young and be able to see the bigger picture is great! So Bright, what are YOU doing to change/save/add value to the world? Last edited by Margarita888; 02-15-2010 at 02:42 PM. Reason: because i like Alex :) |

I have been doing intuitive readings for a few years now and I just wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't fulfilling for me and if I wasn't getting feedback about how I'm changing lives - I'd drop it and do something else. Quote:
Yes, most psychics don't begin their businesses by making a full time living in the first few months, but I actually know plenty of thriving psychics who have been doing it for a couple of years or longer. If you have talent and if you're willing to go the extra mile for people and provide some value for free too (especially at first), you can make a good living. And many of the successful intuitives I know don't have a business that is based solely on readings. Some of them teach psychic development, some make money from blogging through affiliate products, some write books, give teleseminars, sell guided meditations etc. There are loads of possibilities.
