I was thinking of doing a Free Hugs event during CGW 2. Here are a couple of examples of Free Hugs events by people who will be attending CGW 2:

YouTube - FREE HUGS CAMPAIGN Bern, Switzerland, Schweiz, Suisse 2009

I'm not sure yet whether this should happen before, during (i.e. lunch hour) or after the workshop, but if you want to participate, you may want to rig up a sign that you can wear around your neck

I'm planning on bringing my pocket HD camcorder, but if you have a more sophisticated one that has image stabilization, please bring it... we could have some tangible documentation of the difference that CGW 2 has made

If you do a Free Hug, I suggest you do it in the area between Paris Hotel and Planet Hollywood. That's the best place to do it and where the locals do the Free Hug events.

Great Idea!

I think it would be best to do this during lunch break. This way we can also announce it at the workshop for those not reading the forums and nobody will be excluded because they are not there yet or will already have left.

We only did it for about 15 mins on the strip before dinner one day. In terms of uptake of hugs, it was probably the least successful free hugs I've done, but it took courage :-)

Awesome! I think it's always the courage required that makes it so valuable...other than the obvious benefits. 'Uptake of hugs' - I love it!
