Monday, January 18 Toastmaster meeting
 

For all those attending the CGW in January, on the Monday after the workshop you're all invited to attend an open house meeting of Powerhouse Pros, the toastmaster club that Steve and I belong to. We'll both be there that evening. Snacks or dessert and drinks are being served. And one of our CGW workshop participants is going to be a guest speaker. Wu-hoo. ;) Of couse I'm talking about the illustrious and amazing Alex Wu.

You should plan to arrive at the meeting by 6pm, and we'll be done around 8pm or so. Last time we had a group of about a dozen workshop attendees who came to the meeting and had a blast! If you've ever wanted to see what a toastmaster meeting is like, this is a great opportunity.

The meeting location is extremely close to the strip. A short cab ride or some carpooling with locals will work. Once we get a list of everyone who wants to attend, we can begin arranging rides or getting a big van taxi.

Sounds great! Count me in!

I'm thinking of going to this too ;) But seriously, Powerhouse Pros is a really AWESOME club, I visited the club as a guest during CGW 1, and I am trying to model my own home club after some aspects of Powerhouse Pros. They have some funny and successful speakers like Darren LaCroix, John Kinde, S. Frank Stringham, Dana Richardson, Erin Pavlina, and, of course, Steve!!!

I am renting a car for my visit, will be there that day, and would be glad to take some people.

Include me in! I'm a 10 year TM member (ACS). I belong to an advanced club in Victoria when I'm not in Mexico. I've heard so much about the Powerhouse Pros...looking forward to experiencing a meeting!

We'll make a list of everyone who wants to go and those who have cars, then we'll assign people to groups and make sure everyone gets there.
