Conscious Growth Workshop #2 I'm already in talks with Harrah's WRT booking another Conscious Growth Workshop in Las Vegas for January. They were great to work with, so I see no reason to switch. The most likely dates will be Jan 15-17 (Fri-Sun), but that's very tentative at this point. Harrah's owns a variety of properties in Las Vegas, so we probably won't be in the same room/hotel. The most promising possibility at this point looks like the Flamingo. |
That's right before I start classes again. :) I have several months to manifest the money! :) |
Cool! I better get my vibrations right. :) |
FYI I expect to keep the price the same. If we sell out, I'll just keep opening up more dates. Ideally I'd like to ramp up to doing one of these each month. Going to stick with Vegas right now because the city meshes really well with the homework assignments that require going out and socializing with people. Also, anyone who attended the first workshop can attend another CGW within the next year for free if they want. But you gotta bring your A-game and help make it a transformational experience for first-timers. |

Ideally I want to keep the audience about the same size, limit it to about 125 people or so. I think if we go too much bigger, it will have a different feel and may work against the feeling of connection and intimacy that we all had. So even if I could make more money doing bigger events, I'd rather keep the size reasonable and just book more dates. I think that right now this is the best way to ensure people get the most out of it. With a smaller group of less than 50 people, I think we'd be lacking the same level of energy and variety in terms of audience participation and feedback. So I'd rather aim for groups of 100-125 in size. |
Giving the workshop as a gift - good or bad idea? Quote:
One person I really think would benefit is my boyfriend but I was thinking of giving him your workshop as a gift. What do you think of that idea? Would there still be value in attending if the motivation and cost to attend was not coming from yourself? I'm open to ideas from anyone, but I'd really love to hear what you think, Steve. Thank you. |
Very cool indeed. I'm totally there, dudes. |
OOh. If it's in January/February I can come too. :D:) |

You might have to limit the number of non-paying attendees too, otherwise you might end up with almost exactly the same group. ;) |

That was the biggest positive surprise to me of the conference, and to most others I think as well. It's a great idea. Daniel Koontz ________________ Visit me at Casual Kitchen! |

The after effects of everyone's energy sounds very deep and convincing! I'm going to start working towards getting myself set for January! |
Another dream has come true! I can't believe you are doing this Steve. Before we even left on Monday I was already working on a plan to organize an anniversary meetup so everyone who had attended the workshop could connect again in person. Now I just have to show up in Las Vegas. This really makes my day and my days have been fantastic lately. Thanks so much for your generosity. Stretching one's boundaries really pays off. With love, Alexandra |
Count me in for Jan! If there is a list of people who want to attend again in Jan, please put my name down. What a great offer. I volunteer to be a "mic runner" if you need help there. What I would like to see would be more, retreat time to casually hang out in smallish groups, but that might need to be during a different type of event. |

Is that just an offer to the first group of workshop attendees or can someone come to the next workshop and attend again for free within the year following the workshop? |
I'm definitely coming back in Jan as an 'alumni'!!! How do the alumnis sign up? I'm literally teary-eyed at the prospect. Never in my life have I felt such joyful and instant connections with so many people. I miss everyone so much already! |
I feel some resistance at the idea of the next workshop potentially hosting 300 participants. I just don't see why bigger is better. My own experience has generally shown that quality decreases as size increases. If I wanted to attend a conference with a crowd of superficially and aggressively happy people, I wouldn't have to travel to Vegas. A big draw of the first workshop was the smaller size and possibility for more intimate and meaningful connections, with each participant at least being aware of one another. This will not affect whether I attend or not in January. Just wanted to throw my two cents on the pile. |
I'm definately interested. Will you be filming this one? |
Pretty sure we'll cap it at 150 to 200. Neither of us feel 300 would be beneficial right now, but at some point we'd have to test that theory by trying it. |

It's confirmed that we'll be doing CGW #2 at the Flamingo on Jan 15-17, 2010. I expect to open registrations for it within a week. Most likely we won't be filming this one. The offer to repeat CGW for free is (for now) only open to people who attended CGW #1. |
You don't mess about Steve. I failed at getting to the first one but I hope to get a better result in January. Congratulations. See you soon. Dan |
Do repeaters need to register? Or just show up with our green orbs? Quote:
Nevermind...I saw that Steve will be doing a blog post for repeaters...THANKS! |

I just signed up! I just signed up! I just signed up! And I want to say in advance that I love you all and really look forward to connecting with you. Woohooohooooo! |
We're up to 8 registrations so far (5 new, 3 alumni). :D |
