Now that we've made ourselves more in tune with reality, I'm assuming that workshop attendees are going to start manifesting a LOT more than they used to, and also experiencing synchronisities that will lead them toward manifesting their intentions. I got such a strong vibe off this one I couldn't resist it. I went to the workshop because I was having difficulty figuring out what I wanted to do with my career. I've been idling about the office today, avoiding the 40-50 emails that piled up while I was the conference. I look down at my fortune cookie and read, "A Fascinating Project Is In Your Future". I had literally been visualizing my career intention 5 seconds before I read this - it was the same vision I had during the final meditation we did at Steve's workshop. SCARY |

I actually had a great one that happened before the workshop. One of my goals / intentions for the workshop was to develop greater courage, stare down irrational fears, and take intelligent risks. In the taxi ride from the airport to my hotel I was thinking about what the workshop would bring, when I looked up and saw the Nevada license plate on a BMW right in front of the taxi: 'BE BOLD'. I couldn't help but smile a lot after that - it felt like an alpha reflection to me. |

Here's another one: I was working on the tagline to my blog, when I caught this blog post out of the corner of my eye. 15 Second Marketing I've never read this post before, but I intuitively knew to write my tagline that way. This is a sign from the universe that my blog is important and is worth more than I currently value it in my mind. |

Here's another one that just hit me... Some background: I had a nice breakthrough at the workshop that in my goal-setting, habit-changing and belief-changing activities I have been pretty well aligned with Truth and Power, but realized that I could juice things up by balancing this out with a suitable measure of Love - specifically, in connecting with others to give and receive support for important goals and changes. In particular, at the workshop, during a Q+A session, I described an anecdote of how presenting to others at Toastmasters absolutely smashed a barrier of stalling and procrastionation in my goal of setting up a daily morning/evening meditation habit. I intend to leverage this effect by making other Toastmasters speeches on positive habits or practices that I want to set up - by selling good ideas to others, I can sell to myself too. Well, a few weeks ago I had gone to a Pet Shop Boys concert, kind of on a whim (same-day tickets, etc) because the venue was very close to my apartment and I like the band a lot. At the concert I was introduced to one of their new songs - 'Love, etc' and really enjoyed it, so I started it in regular rotation on iPod/iTunes. I've played it dozens of times and pretty much memorized the lyrics - it's rapidly become one of my favorite songs. Just this morning the song came up in my playlist while I was getting ready and I actually listened to the meaning behind the chorus: "You need more You need more You need more You need more You need more You need more... You need love You need love You need love" Oh, so that's the message. Sometimes I can be dense - the universe occasionally needs to hit me over the head with obvious synchronicity before I get the message. No wonder I felt so much affinity with that song in particular... it had something to teach and reinforce. Song lyrics are a great way to communicate with me though - my friends always laugh because I'm constantly quoting movies and songs and weaving appropriate quotes into normal conversation. (So much so that sometimes I'll say something original and they ask 'what movie is that from?', assuming that it inevitably must have been a quote from somewhere.) Thanks, universe! -jack |

I was driving out of the Harrah's parking lot in the evening, during day 1 of the workshop. I saw a license plate frame that said "The world loves you" (or something very similar). Now it could have belonged to one of the workshop attendees, but still, I needed to see that message at that specific moment. |

Wow! The icon below caught my eye for no reason (*wink wink**) this morning. ![]() P.S. Actually, Jack, I wanted to say that I enjoyed your insight/idea of doing a talk about what you intend to learn and/or accomplish. It's somewhat akin to teaching what you want to learn, with a little motivation and accountability built in...a very good idea! Hmmm... Last edited by SMA; 10-07-2009 at 11:25 PM. |

Instead, because I was constrained for time, I just picked a topic that I knew a fair amount about already so that my research stage would be shorter. In any case, I'm very happy with the outcome and would recommend the technique to others as a way to publicly commit to changes. Interestingly, the speech topic wasn't even specifically motivational, it was more historical and informational. I certainly never mentioned my latent personal interest to restart my practice within the speech itself. -jack | |

2 things. the first one isn't quite "post"-workshop... Not long ago, I put out the intention to travel to South America towards the end of this year. And during the workshop, I met a number of people who either lived in/near S. America, or know people I can contact who have roots there. I felt my intention was very supported. As for realizing the rest of my "Planet B"...today on the NYC subway I was sitting in a corner and saw the word "PRAY" etched in scratchitti on a door handle. It was perfectly timed, coming just after I took a moment to visualize my dream life. Praying... |

I've been consistently finding coins on a near-daily basis. I think I had a consecutive stretch of about two weeks or so where I was finding coins on a consistent daily basis (often multiple times throughout the day). It's really weird and eerie. I think I'm starting to get good at manifesting coins or something because just yesterday when I was in the airport after claiming my baggage I said in my head, "Ok Universe, I want to create abundance in my life. Show me some coinage!" and I swear, two seconds later I found a penny. And then later I found another penny a minute later. I've been finding silver coins too. And I've had a couple experiences (pre-workshop, actually) where I was out somewhere and I just had a 'feeling' a penny was near me, even though I didn't see it. So I'd look around in my immediate area and sure enough I'd find one. This skill improved during the workshop - one night during the CWG I was out walking down the strip to the MGM Grand. I suddenly felt I needed to stop, turn around and backtrack a bit out of my original course and path - so I did; and I found 27 cents. Then on my return path home (opposite side of the street) I had a feeling I was going to find another quarter, and I did! Definitely weird stuff - but neat! One of the things I addressed in the workshop was my job. I'm bored and at the breaking point with my current job. I started an SBI website a few months back and LOVE working on it, but it's very time intensive. So my quandary was, do I focus my limited time on getting a new job, or just focus on my website? The resounding answer from those I talked to at the workshop was "FIND A NEW JOB!" Fast forward one week, and I have an interview tomorrow for a VP advertising/pr job at a funky new company, and it would involve handling a lot of web/social media stuff that I've been working on and learning about with my website. And I'm EXCITED about the opportunity, not worried about whether or not they are going to hire me. Now that's a BIG shift...wish me luck! |
