Conscious Growth Workshop: Guided Meditations What did you guys think about the guided meditations Steve did? I loved them. I think Steve should record some guided meditations and post them in the audio section. *hint hint, Steve*;) I especially loved the last one, on oneness. I'm still feeling it very strongly as I type this. Just awesome! :D |
I definitely found them valuable! I wrote down some brief notes on some of them but it would certainly be great to have them collected in one place. It's hard to 'do' a guided meditation and record it for posterity at the same time. :) |
Incidentally, that final meditation with the green orbs was something I added based on a suggestion received during the workshop. On Saturday someone came up to me during one of the breaks and asked me if we could all do a meditation together to focus on raising the oneness alignment of the whole planet. I could tell he was really sincere and passionate about the idea. I loved the suggestion, but I wasn't sure how and where to incorporate it, so I told him, "Not today but I may be able to work in something on Day 3." I gave the idea some thought later that day, and then on Sunday at lunch, I discussed the idea with Erin and talked about what I had in mind. She liked the idea too, and we agreed it would be a great way to conclude the workshop and anchor in those feelings. I didn't know what I was going to say when I began because this meditation wasn't pre-planned. I just put myself into a state of oneness and let the words flow from there. I started seeing a movie playing in my mind and described what I was seeing. I had to talk slowly with lots of pauses because I was feeling such strong emotions that my voice was cracking. You probably noticed that. :) I could see that a lot of people were affected by this meditation, including some people who were in a very different place on Day 1. So I will have to watch the DVDs to see what I actually said because this wasn't pre-planned. I made a lot of additions and changes to the workshop on the fly based on getting in deeper touch with the particular group we had and what their energy was like. I don't recall who gave me this suggestion -- I received lot of suggestions during the workshop, and they get jumbled together in my mind. I want to say Roberto or Alex Lai, but I can't recall. But whoever suggested this idea, thank you! :) |

Hi Michael, Thanks for bringing up the guided meditation on oneness. I agree that it was a perfect way to end the workshop. Couldn't have been more fitting and provided a sense of oneness and closure to the weekend. Very interesting that the closing meditation was an after-thought suggested by an attendee. As Steve mentioned, has to indicate an integration between him and the group as a whole since at the time, it seemed so natural and in the flow of the teaching. I do listen to several of Steve's audiopods, depending on what I need at the time as a verbal boost to my situation. I'm sure I would benefit from having a guided meditation to fall back on at will via the Internet. |
