Hi Steve and everyone, I am not sure it is the right place to post but I am gonna do it anyway. Please move this post to its appropriate forum room as you see fit. My name is Sidney, from Canada. I am attending Steve's workshop this coming October. I am thinking, instead of starting talking to people once I am there, I would like to get to know some of the workshop-goers before hand so that we won't be strangers anymore once we are physically there. I am so excited Best regards, Sidney Toronto, Canada |

Hey, I'm Jeff. Check my "About Yooper" page on the shift your consciousness page in my sig if you want to learn a little bit about me. I am very much looking forward to making a lot of new friends during the workshop...maybe even creating some a group of long distance close friends. The workshop seems like a great opportunity to create some great new realationships built on a shared experience. If you have a blog or an "about me" page somewhere...please share. |

Hi, I'm Chris from Minnesota. I'm looking forward to the workshop not only for some "me" time, but also to meet and connect with some like-minded people. And a little bit of fun vacation time as well! I'm "starting over" at the age of 43 with a new life and a new job. My new website (SBI website! Thanks Steve!) is the beginning of a new direction in my life as well - working hard to "not have a job". Check out my About Me page on my website listed below my sig for some more info. I'd love to hear from all the other attendees and get to know a little about them as well before the workshop! |

Hi, I'm Alexandra. I'm coming from Sacramento, CA. I have a website about my store which doesn't really say much about me personally but it gives everyone an idea about my business. Looking forward to meeting everyone - glad to see another woman, Erica. I've never done anything like this before and I am excited. Hi Chris, I had a thought that someone named Chris might be a woman but I didn't tune in enough before I posted! Visited your website and would like to say that I am now quite sure you are a woman, a woman I want to connect with. I share weight and fitness issues too. I am 55 and have been overweight for most of my life. Looking forward to meeting you. Steve/Erin How many people are currently registered? Alexandra |

Hey guys! I'll be arriving from the UK to Vegas a day before the workshop starts to explore the city - I'm really excited. If anyone else wants to join me on my adventurous exploration, let me know And Jeff, on a similar note, I'm looking to build a kick-ass mastermind so that we can support each other's goals/insights/decisions made during the workshop. Just under two weeks left; I'm looking forward to some major growth blitzing. Last edited by Amro; 09-22-2009 at 10:13 PM. |

Hi Alexandra, Yes, I'm definitely a woman! I'm looking forward to meeting you too! In fact, is anyone interested in a meet-up the evening prior to the seminar? I haven't finalized my plans yet due to my crazy work schedule, but I'm PLANNING on arriving a day early. If others are arriving a day early and would like to get together, let's set up a time and a place for casual get together. |

Great ideas for pre-workshop meet ups (YES!), mastermind sessions (YES!), and hanging out after school (YES YES YES)... ...I asked my spousal unit to remain "open minded" about extra after school activities...whatever might happen... ...she just warned me not to drink (TOO MUCH!). My wife can hang out with Steve...she doesn't drink either. |

Due to our crazy work schedule, we can't arrive in Vegas until Thursday late night. I guess we have to catch you early arrivers on Friday. Other than wanting to watch cirque du soleil KA, we don't have any other plan after the workshop. Maybe a bit gambling for entertainment. Hey we are in Vegas after all. One suggestion, Steve can setup a separate forum room just for the workshop goers. I am sure we would like to stay in touch. This workshop is going to be exciting. Cheers, Sidney |

Hey all! I'm Rachelle and I'll be coming to the workshop too! I'm also from Canada. wooooo. haha. This will be my first time in Vegas! I'm very much up for socializing outside of workshop hours. I'm vegan and something I LOVE to do when traveling is to check out the local vegan restaurants. I'd really love to check out the raw restaurant in Vegas because there isn't one in my city. (For example, I'm considering going to San Fran for a day or two after the workshop because I'd really like to check out the Millennium Restaurant there!! ...if anyone wants to come with me.... ?!) So yeah, I'm a big food nerd and love socializing around food, such as having potlucks. Would anyone like to host a potluck during the workshop weekend? I was also curious if Steve and Erin were planning to socialize with the workshop attendees outside of workshop hours. Oh! AND I'm excited to see Cirque du Soleil as well. It'd be great to go together with someone, but I'm used to traveling alone and seeing things by myself as well... Sidney, maybe you'd like to check out Cirque together? |

Although we would love to get a chance to socialize outside the workshop I'm not sure that's going to work out for us. Steve needs to protect his voice and energy in order to handle three days. but we'll see. He might be feeling utterly fantastic! if anyone has a car, Red Velvet Cafe is the place I recommend. It has vegan food galore and also omni food so anyone can eat there. Vegan bakery items taht are low in fat and calories but also amazingly delicious. It is on Sahara and Buffalo (west of buffalo on the left side of street). RedVelvetCafe:Welcome |

Of course, if someone is used to drinking regularly, then dealing with the not drinking might take more energy to process... This wasn't for you directly, yoopersmith - just thinking out loud! I'm not attending the workshop. I was surprised to see drinking mentioned at all. If I were going, I would want to be at my most clear with the highest-level energy possible, and alcohol would definitely affect that, so I wouldn't use it at all. I'm always surprised when people drink at events like this.

I might experiment with NO MEAT and no booze for the period of conference...but have not committed to that yet. The NO MEAT would be easy, since many of the folks in attendance are exploring vegan and RAW diets and I have had experiemented with vegetarian diets in the past. The drinking thing I will avoid if I am inspired to keep my engery level as high as possible...but generally social interactions of these type engerzie me...so I might want to "Chill out" with some wine or a beer...we'll see No offense taken...it will be fun to see who is experimently with what in their lives and how they interact with folks who choose different diets and other such choices. CHEERS!

Hi there Steve, Erin and fellow conferencers! My name is Sonya and I am very excited to be attending this conference and having the opportunity to interact with other growth oriented people. A little about me...I am a 39 year old single female (dis-engaged last year) born in Edmunton Alberta, raised in Madison WI and of Egyptian decent. I am high raw, completely vegetarian and mostly vegan. Please count me in for any of the raw food related excursions. It looks like there is a raw food meetup (not a potluck) at the Go Raw cafe on Saturday night: Las Vegas Raw Food Meetup (Las Vegas, NV) - Meetup.com I will be arriving on Wednesday night and I will be leaving the following Wednesday. It seems appropriate that I a leaving Madison as the World Dairy Expo is underway. I am very active in the raw food community in Madison and I am happy to say that on November 1 our first vegan resteraunt will be opening (Green Owl) and there will be raw items on the menu. In addition to food, I am also very much interested in checking out the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and doing some hiking. And, yes I would also like to hit the blackjack tables! This is my first time in Vegas and I would love to explore it with you all. See you all soon! Sonya |

Hi guys, how great to meet so many of you online before the event! I'm today packing my suitcase, to fly from Copenhagen to Vegas tomorrow. While in LV I'll be staying with close friends from my college days in Iowa -- wow, that was back in 2002 -- bonus I'm attending because StevePavlina.com, and then the book, have had much impact on my life. Especially in terms of how I look at the world, and how I progress to not having a job. I'm so looking forward to the vibe of over a hundred growth-seeking individuals in the same room. To hear how you all have applied the ideas in Steve's articles and book, and, to finally meet the guy who has impacted me for the better from several thousand miles away See you in Vegas! -Gerret |
