Alex, definitely t-shirt and shorts weather outside. The casinos are usually pretty cold though so think about a sweatshirt for while you're inside. Ladies, think about a shawl for the workshop. The room temp should be set for 72 or so.

Of course, if someone is used to drinking regularly, then dealing with the not drinking might take more energy to process... This wasn't for you directly, yoopersmith - just thinking out loud! I'm not attending the workshop. I was surprised to see drinking mentioned at all. If I were going, I would want to be at my most clear with the highest-level energy possible, and alcohol would definitely affect that, so I wouldn't use it at all. I'm always surprised when people drink at events like this. | |

I might experiment with NO MEAT and no booze for the period of conference...but have not committed to that yet. The NO MEAT would be easy, since many of the folks in attendance are exploring vegan and RAW diets and I have had experiemented with vegetarian diets in the past. The drinking thing I will avoid if I am inspired to keep my engery level as high as possible...but generally social interactions of these type engerzie me...so I might want to "Chill out" with some wine or a beer...we'll see No offense taken...it will be fun to see who is experimently with what in their lives and how they interact with folks who choose different diets and other such choices. Hi there Steve, Erin and fellow conferencers! My name is Sonya and I am very excited to be attending this conference and having the opportunity to interact with other growth oriented people. A little about me...I am a 39 year old single female (dis-engaged last year) born in Edmunton Alberta, raised in Madison WI and of Egyptian decent. I am high raw, completely vegetarian and mostly vegan. Please count me in for any of the raw food related excursions. It looks like there is a raw food meetup (not a potluck) at the Go Raw cafe on Saturday night: Las Vegas Raw Food Meetup (Las Vegas, NV) - Meetup.com I will be arriving on Wednesday night and I will be leaving the following Wednesday. It seems appropriate that I a leaving Madison as the World Dairy Expo is underway. I am very active in the raw food community in Madison and I am happy to say that on November 1 our first vegan resteraunt will be opening (Green Owl) and there will be raw items on the menu. In addition to food, I am also very much interested in checking out the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and doing some hiking. And, yes I would also like to hit the blackjack tables! This is my first time in Vegas and I would love to explore it with you all. See you all soon! Sonya |

Hello fellow attendees of the conference that is rapidly approaching. My name is Steve Ferri and I am from Santa Barbara California. I just made my reservations for lodging and am looking forward to this upcoming weekend. I am bringing my family which was a last minute decision. I have a 6 month old who is going to have a blast in Vegas, and 2 other young kids who will also be looking forward to being there. My wife is not attending the conference, but will be supporting me in my quest of self development. I can't wait to see all the faces from around the world. I am transitioning from working in the Engineering trades to a Body Cleanse and wellness coach and Organic lifestyle trainer. I Hope to be inspired by all of you who share similar passions for life. Can't wait to meet Steve and Erin as well! Steve Ferri |

I'm so looking forward to this! I should be getting in on Thursday afternoon and would love to test out raw/vegan places. I went to one of the raw restaurants last time I was in Vegas (if there are only 2, it was the one WITHOUT a salad bar) and fell in love! I'll see some of you at Caesar's on Thursday! |

I told the folks at Red Velvet Cafe that some of you might be coming in for a great vegan meal. I highly recommend the vegan pizza, vegan tuna melt, vegan mac and cheese, and all of their low cal, low fat decadent desserts. Tell them you're in for the Pavlina conference and they'll treat ya real nice. RedVelvetCafe:Welcome |

Hi, over the last 3 years I have downloaded, printed, assimilated (and benefited from) the bulk of Steve's articles. So I thought it was high time to meet the guy. Though I grew up in Europe and South America I threw my anchor in the Bay Area in the 90's so I will be visiting from San Francisco, CA. The people I interact with on a daily basis are interested in humdrum topics (TV programs, fads, routines, escapism) and I hunger for more depth. I look forward to meeting you in Vegas, hearing your stories, and getting to know you. Daniel www.catium.com |

I signed up for the Raw Meetup, but noticed on the website that the meetup starts at 4pm while in the meantime our workshop goes til 5pm. Do the meetups usually last for a while? ... on another note, I noticed there's also a Polyamoury Meetup the very next day, on Sunday at 3pm. I thought that was kinda coincidental! haha. I wonder which night would be best to go to a Cirque show... Friday night or later on Saturday night... hmmm... |

Hi there Rachelle, I would be interested in attending the raw food meetup with you. I think it would be fine to arrive late and let the organizer know--it is not a potluck. Hmm--the Sunday meetup sounds interesting too. I would be curious to learn more. Be Well, Sonya |

I'm definitely interested in socializing over vegan or raw+vegan food, attending Cirque du Soleil shows, and other interesting activities that the community has going on. I'll be landing a little late on Thursday (~9pm) and will try to sync up with the group at that time. I'm staying until Monday afternoon - perhaps people will be around for a trip to Red Velvet or other activities that day? PM me to exchange phone # if you're interested. |

Hello everybody, I arrived in Vegas on Monday evening. I'm from Germany, so the time shift is pretty heavy and I'm still fighting jet lag. I'm really looking forward to meet all of you and to make some new friends. I'd also like to check out a few shows and do some sight seeing during my visit, so if anybody is interested, I think it would be more fun to see them together. So far I was thinking about:
I'm also open to suggestions, but I guess it will be easier to discuss this at the meetup. |

With all ya'll going to the meetup, we might as well just start the workshop at Caesar's I think it's going to be awesome for you all to meet and hang out and talk. I hope there are enough chairs. There's a bunch of 4 seater tables in that area. I wouldn't bother with the coffee couches, you'll definitely have too many for that small area. Grab some tables, put them together, and see what happens. Someone take photos or video for us. |
