As you reflect on your own personality and behavioural patterns, what comparisons would you make with traits of other living creatures? Do you feel more or less like particular anmials or insects? Consider sample traits here: Chinese Zodiac Signs - Guiding Stars |

Good thread Liara Covert... Nothing is more powerful to implant an idea or belief than a metaphor... and animals are can be great metaphors... Personally I appreciate and identify with the "Positive Personality Traits" of the dog... especially my own bulldog, Shamou... In his own way, Shamou as been an example and a mentor for me... he was strong, confident, loyal and would never quit no matter how rough things could become... he changed my life... and I will always love him and cherish his memory... . |

I was born in 1992, the year of the monkey. I share some of the monkey's qualities, especially the "tolerant of everyone" trait. However, after briefly looking over the others, I seem to act more like a tiger-- minus the dominance trait..

Its curious that people who are supposedly born in the year of a particular animal don't always manifest the associated traits. Just goes to show that everyone doesn't always fit into a predictable mould. In these cases, we realize many more facets to ourselves exist than expected. |

I don't have a particular animal in mind really. But I do have a strong primal, animalistic side to me. I sometimes have to stop myself killing people If you know about Jekyll and Hyde. I most certainly have a Mr. Hyde... |

According to the year I was born, I am a goat/ram (which corrosponded nice to the ram of Aries as well) however the "Negative Personality Traits" of same do not pertain at all to me (Oversensitive, need to feel loved and admired, lacks self-confidence,Dependent on others,Ever-changing moods). Most of the animals do not seem to apply, positive or negative, however the closest I can come up with is a cross between Dragon and Snake.
