While not denying a lot of the points the author makes (we give boys books they don't like and then wonder why they hate reading; we substitute the illusory safety of an indoor imaginary world for the actual safety of making them strong) I'd like to say that I wish I'd had a book like that when I was a little girl. And Ill buy it for my kids whether they have XX or XY chromosomes (even if I have to use an xacto blade to cut out "For Boys" so my daughter will read it. )
