Default Do what you love? And if I don't know?

How do I find? I have a passion actually which is playing guitar. But If I only do that whit my life I know there will be something missing in the puzzle. I will ask it to you instead, what do you love to do? Seriously. Put away the distractions like video games, reading, surfing the internet, watching tv, shopping, etc. The average american watches 4 hour of tv every day, that's 9 years in a 65 year life(what a waste of time). Assumption : they escape reality because their life sucks. Then what remains? Gotta ask because I admit my life suck too. People don't want to face the truth to this question because they know the answer : I don't know. Please be honest. Face the truth instead of escaping it.

I realize it's a bit of a cliche, but my advice would be to concentrate less on figuring out what you would love to do, and more on figuring out the kind of person you would love to be. As you pointed out, nobody loves playing the guitar so much that they would want guitar-playing to be their whole life. Once you know the kind of person you would like to be, it's simply a matter of experimenting with different permutations of the various ways that you can spend your time and seeing which ones are compatible with who you are from one day to the next.

Hi I know very well what you are talking about and if nothing comes to your heart straight away or after sitting quietly and thinking / meditating about it then the only way to discover it is to just go for whatever is in front of you and keep trying as many things as possible until hopefully you discover what it is.

Yes I know the chance is low but sitting at home the chance is none.

First off, consider yourself fortunate to have a place to start. You have a passion, which most people either do not have or are completely unaware of (or they've buried it, which is very sad indeed).

So then, perhaps you could expand on that passion. In addition to playing, you could also share your abilities and offer private lessons to those wanting to learn guitar. Or, you could start a blog/website and offer the same, as well as tips, etc. to those who already know how to play.

If you have more than one of your passions, you can do all of them....

For example, in my case, I am considering singing, and making music. Also, I am considering doing something with writing/reading/art and acting, public speaking and teaching.

Usually, the first thing to knock out a phrasing problem that tends to kink people up...

Try it this way, instead of saying "What do I love", ask instead:

What excites me to do, for now?
