This is my first post, so I'd like to say hello to everyone - it's great to find a place where people want to better themselves. I'm writing today to see if anyone could give me any resources/direct me on where to start my path to figuring out what I should do with my life. For years I've been hearing the little voice telling me to do more with my life but have shrugged it off due to the fact that I can't figure out what to do. Now that I'm becoming older (34) I've decided to listen more and do something! I used to be very carefree, charismatic, lived an exciting life where opportunities would flow to me often. Now, I'm noticing that I am easily aggravated and too busy to do anything. I work long hours and no longer enjoy my job. True, as we get older we take on more responsibilities but I want more out of life, particularly more happiness and the ability to enjoy life more often. So the last year I thought maybe more money would be the answer so I divulged myself to making money online as a supplemental income. In doing so, I made a decent side income but then found myself way busier than I was ever before. Coming home late from my day job to working several hours more online. I've decided that wasn't the answer. I'm not sure where to focus my energy. Recently, I was thinking I should focus my energy on finding a new career but will that be the real answer? I'm starting to think that would only be a temporary fix. Do I need to find my "purpose in life". All that I do know is, I want more & I want out of the rat race! Tired of feeling like I'm on autopilot wasting my life away. I'm sure I'm not alone and I'm also sure this has been asked thousand times before...but, if you have any ideas or suggestions - please share |

So I agree with you, finding your life purpose is a good thing to do, for just about everybody. There have been many threads on here already, if you search for them, about how to find your life purpose. I'll recommend a book I used to help me find my life purpose, but there are MANY out there now, if you go to amazon.com and use life purpose as a search term you'll find many titles. I liked the book, "Soul-purpose: Discovering and fulling your destiny" by Mark Thurston, Ph.D. So good luck, and I just know you'll find out what you're here to do....if you keep looking for it, it will find you.

Hi Seeking More Here is a thread I started awhile back and it is about calling on the divine plan for your life if you don't know what you want to do with your life and here is the link Are you lost or confused about where your life is going? Also, I have found in my own life that when I ask God and the angels to send me signs of the right direction to go in - I will receive some amazing, unbeliable signs of what to do. You can also ask for guidance to come to you in your dreamstate. I know one guy who did not really know what he wanted to do in life and he wrote down all the details of his ideal job and within a matter of weeks he found his ideal job. So write down your most outrageous ideas of what you want to have included in your ideal job (and don't censor it or hold back) and let your higher self, God, Universe, etc help you to find you your ideal job. Thank you for your suggestions! I read your thread and am going to look into the Ponder books too. I'm starting to see that finding my purpose/True calling is where I want to focus my energy.

In Apex Lifestyle Design we believe that work is play and play is work. Passion work is the work you do that gives you inner bone satisfaction. It makes you feel alive and gives your life purpose. Find your passion work and create a vision - a purpose-driven vision - to put your energy into the passion work. If you can find what you truly love to do and create a vision to do it for the rest of your life, you will find true joy. Remember, that the vision is just the first step...then you need to set weekly goals to make that vision come to fruition. If you do these things, you can do what you love and will feel fulfilled!
