Lightbulb Darkworker, Conscious Transition. Comments Welcome

Hi Everyone,

I am on one of the most important crossroads of life. I am 30 and raised in a mainstream religion to which I dont feel like aligned with.

Recently I grew extremely dissatisfied with my work, my life. I feel demotivated and procrastinate on most important goals I know are important for me at this point right now. I want to change careers and turn my turn my life 360 degrees.

So, I started exploring Meaning and Purpose of Life and how its suppose to give you motivation and surge of energy. Going through Steve's 20 Min Life purpose exercise I sat through for 4 hours and generated more than 500 answers but none has that emotional appeal that Steve mentions.

Then I turned to books. I read:

- Life On Purpose: Six Passages to an Inspired Life by Brad Swift
- The Four Purposes of Life: Finding Meaning and Direction in a Changing World by Dan Millman
- The Life You Were Born to Live: A Guide to Finding Your Life Purpose by Dan Millman
- Finding Your Own North Star: Claiming the Life You Were Meant to Live by Martha Beck
- The Passion Test: The Effortless Path to Discovering Your Destiny

There were lots of AHA! Moments but none of them provided any concrete output for me.

Then I started reading reading Steve's Book "Personal Development for Smart People" on pg. 184 steve mentions Darkworker, curiously I stopped reading the book and went to StevePavlina.com and read all the articles related to Darkworker and instantly found my internel thought process, my operating mindset with other people and internal drive to more in alignment with of the Darkworker.

It was very hard for me to accept this concept of being more of a Darkworker myself. But after reading Steve's articles and various other site I finally accepted being a Darkworker, does this mean that I have hit Polarity? Not Yet!
But, I finally crafted an initial Life Purpose for me. Which is:

"Everyday in Everyway I Increase my Intellectual, Financial and Spiritual Power"

Intuitively it makes sense, and the word POWER is very important to me in this sentence. If this sticks, then I see myself working towards all of my goals and kick some serious procrastination **s.

Let me know what do you guys think. Any comments and helpful suggestion is appreciated.

Sam.

Sounds like a supersmooth highway to hell, to me. I'd say go for it.

I've written extensively enough on the topic that I'm a bit burned out, and I'm saving what I do have for other mediums, so all I'm gonna say is best of luck and if you haven't, check this place out: The Crimson Curtain

Anything we do provides valuable lessons. But often we needlessly overcomplicate our learning for ourselves. Anyway, sooner or later you will have to find out for yourself that any power which doesn't spring from the Universal Love is but an illusion of power.

Which is yet another presumption based on incomplete human knowledge, as well as the notion that if it is true then the conclusions we base upon it are also true.

It's nothing more than the heaven/hell paradigm reworked for the new age movement.

Sprucesam, how is this going for you? As it's been about a month.

I've also been a bit taken aback recently that my intents and motives are more aligned with darkworking. I'm at the point of deciding whether to embrace it completely and go with it.

It would be good to hear of your experiences as you've gotten a bit of a headstart
