How do I go about finding information about running for city council or other local government positions? I would also need regulations, campaign finance information, etc. |

You know, if you have libertarian leanings, you might want to join the Libertarian party. I know they are trying to educate their members on how to be good candidates, and offer classes. However, if you're a liberal, conservative, or socialist, you might not resonate enough with party to get anything out of the class. I wonder if a community college would have any education on that. Or, interview a council member (maybe even one in a different town if you know them and just want general information).
