| Hi, I'm currently thinking about starting a blog in the field of personal development. My goals are: 1) learn English better 2) improve communication skills 3) make money These are some articles I've been thinking about writing. How do they sound? 1. Influence yourself in the future through present time How to make sure that your most important values are not lost during the course of life. How to make sure that they will continue to influence you. 2. How to live a good life with bad habits. 3. Anti intellectualism in the personal development movement. 4. Realizing your own limitations and how to profit from this fact 5. Escaping reality (or how to pass time when you're waiting for the bus) Article about creating an inner dream world, isolated from the real one. |

| Well, Starlike, they're provocative! Write whatever you're interested in writing. Use the process to develop self-awareness and understanding (and to have fun). And get ready to be challenged by the responses you receive! |

| They all look good. Gor for it!!! |

| Well, I feel that even though some of the topics might be "old hand", as long as you write it in your own perspective, an "old" topic can become a thought-provoking post for your blog. It really depends on how you write your entry. Yeah... Go for it man. To The Top!

if you have the intention, make it a reality! Noone can expect to be perfect the first time. Likewise for blogging. Just go register a blog and start writing! You may not have tons of traffic coming in at first, but take your time and keep developing quality posts and the readers will come if they see a value. Nonetheless, try not to let making money be the main reason you blog. Though it can be one of your reasons, try not to focus too much on the monetization. Focus on informing and educating your readers and the monetization can slowly kick in thereafter. |

| Hey Calvin! Good to see ya here as well! Trust exam prep is coming along great?!!! Starlike, my opinion is that you should go ahead to write about topics that come to your mind. The only reason why the topics are at the top of your mind is becos you have been thinking about it, either it is an interest that you want to develop, or perhaps you may have a desire to learn more. Whatever it is, go ahead to start writing. Get started with your blog. I find that the most tough part about it is the starting - I've been through it... was like dragging my feet but at last I got started (you can check out my blog at "The World Thru Kayceez Eyes". You'll soon find that it is rather fun! Much like writing posts here in such forums. However, gotta say that you should not expect many comments for your blogs, unlike here in forums where there are lots of idea exchanges. Good luck in your writing ventures! ---------------------------------------- Kayceez My Success Plan for Personal Development |

| Looking forward to reading #3 but they all have potential Of the articles that give suggestions to others, are these suggestions made as a result of your own experiences? I.e., are they things that you've incorporated into your life? The "how to" articles that I get the most out of are those that are obviously a core part of the author's life. There are plenty of articles out there which just rehash someone else's suggestions and most of them feel unconvincing. |
