You're literate. No, really. No matter how badly you spell, how excruciatingly absurd your idea of grammar, how miniscule your diction, how few languages you know, let alone dialects... you're literate. We take that for granted. It's more surprising to find an illiterate. That's a good thing, but like books, pencils, roads, electric lights, and so on: we take them for granted today. Michael, the care that you take in expressing yourself in writing is very apparent. Everything I've read of yours is a little poem in a way; each thought seems to be constructed of carefully, willfully, and responsibly chosen words. I can see how you value this precious talent. |
