Really cool. It doesn't have as many of the nifty gimmicks Google has but who cares? I'll be using this instead of Google from now on, thanks secrets

I would put that down as "being good at what they do". If you want to make money, for any cause, you need to attract numbers, which entails good marketing.

It's not like (as far as I can tell) they are using unethical marketing techniques.

Edit: OK, I see what you mean about the spelling mistakes. Even in the terms and conditions? Poor show.

There's a difference between doing marketing and being "too markety"... they just look like they're trying too hard to get people into it.

Just because the dude can't spell though doesn't mean his intentions are evil!

Lots of people can't even read out there...that doesn't make them dodgy, just bothersome to read what they write or type.

Not evil, perhaps. But there are enough people out there who can spell and would be happy to proofread a website for free (especially a charity-type one) or for a small fee. Likewise, some of the errors are the kind that would be caught by a spell-checker (e.g. "tandards" instead of "standards"). That someone has nevertheless released this website without adhering to such basic standards as correct spelling calls their overall professionalism into question, which in turn has implications for whether they can (or intend to) deliver on their promises.
